Dunk was classless and unnecessary, but that doesn't mean I didn't cheer and say "**** yeah!" That doesn't mean it was cool. But yeah he could have just held on to the ball and dribble it out. Ainge was even more classless and unnecessary in that video though.

Would this kind of dunk be questioned as classless in the 90s? Probably not. I sure didnt think anything of it when I watching the game. Of course, I am a little bias :grin: . It just goes to show how far the game has fallen since mid 90s. If it wasnt for our current group of hard working, over-achieving players, I wouldnt even bother watching the NBA.
It was certainly unnncessary but its not like Lebron dancing around. It was certainly unnecessary. No matter though how unnecessary a dunk it was it completely pales to Ainge throwing the ball at Elie's head. Now that is classless.
The hate is seriously not necessary either. Regardless of what you may think, he is the most athletically gifted player in this era. You might respect him as a person, but respect his game.

Too much homerism on this board. From a neutral perspective, that was classless. Completely unnecessary and I think Ainge did the right thing and let the opponents know that he wouldn't stand for it. Wasn't long ago that this board went bonkers when stackhouse did the same thing in your house. Would had been nice to see a rocket do the same thing to that neanderthal skull.
You know I've read most of the comments here. Was what Hakeem did showing off? Probably, but it certainly wasn't classless! I have serious issues with Ainge and anyone who gets pissed off (at a professional level) at another team/player for "running up the score". If you don't wanna get beat by another team, just play better and stop moaning at everyone that the other team is running up the score on you! I mean these guys are professional athletes!
