Favre should have pointed at a DB and yelled 'catch' and lightly toss it to him. Then he could run it back for a TD and the Cowboys and their fans won't have their feelings hurt...right?
Let the old man have some fun! <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/OJl1tB5ub1E&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/OJl1tB5ub1E&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
The way Favre smacks everyone on the ass really makes me think of <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/J9_Bd_qYcU8&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/J9_Bd_qYcU8&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
I am probably one of the biggest Cowboys fans around here, have been since I can remember anything at all, as far back as around 1970 and Dandy Don, etc. And I have no problem with whatever Minnesota did. And I have no problem with Brooking being upset about it either. They were two groups of grown men taking contrary goals and strategies into a contest, and as it turned out, one group was totally superior to the other that day. I do, however, believe in at least a little bit of Karma in sports. This is why I now fully expect the Jets to go into Indy and beat the Colts.. heheh And if Minnesota wants to run up the score, then fine. They can what they want. But everything gets wiped next year, everything goes back to 0-0, and these two teams will meet again, and if in the playoffs, I suspect that, the Football Gods being what they are, the karmic shift will place Dallas at home against the Vikings, and the situations will be neatly reversed, just as happened against the Eagles this season. Anyway, I got the feeling it was going to get ugly when Dallas left points on the field several times at the beginning, and then when Adams went out, it was game over. Oh well, stuff happens. Yeah it was disappointing, but if you can't protect your QB, especially against a defense that was absolutely ferocious, then you are going to get yor head handed to you.
same here, although i go back to the ice bowl era. the 'boys got murdered up front, and romo never had a chance- hard to thwo the ball when you spend the entire afternoon on your ass. i don't think the vikes should have taken a knee or anything, but dallas was out of timeouts, less than 2 minutes left- just run the ball. if you score, great. but passing for it was absurd.
Karma would be the Saints throwing a touchdown with the game totally out of reach for the Vikes with less than two minutes to go.
Karma could also be all the turnovers... Especially when they had a chance to win the game with a field goal but Farve felt the need to throw an interception.
Maybe the Karma is actually the fact that a team that they beat handily, the Saints, are going to the Superbowl, and not them?
There's only one winner, so there will be 31 moral victories in two weeks when the Saints or Colts lose.
