You run your offense until the gun. Learn to stop them or deal with it. This isn't amateur league. Besides, as moes said, what the f*** else were they supposed to do?
No. What you've learned is that a bunch of grown-ass tough-guys get sand in their vaginas when they get their asses handed to them. You are in no position to be b****ing at that point, and it has nothing to do with being classy and everything to do with sour grapes at that point.
Not Favre's fault. Same as when the Rockets got stomped by 40 against the Mavs. We came out flat and played horribly. As much as I hate the Mavs, that was on us. I mean, sure I hated the Mavs for it, but we should have come out to play and not rolled over. (Of course, TBH, it should have never gotten to game 7 anyway)
Very much true. You play hard until the game ends. When my team is getting blown out I flat out stop watching the game because the effort disgusts me. I'm so mad at my team's effort I don't even care what the other team is doing. You can put in your backups but you're still running your offense and trying to rest your starters to gain an edge for the next game.
yes and no. go for it, but show a little class and run the ball. passing for it on 4th down, up 27-3, was egregious.
I say yes. Not because its insulting to the other team, these are professionals after all, this isn't a matter of one vastly superior team verus another, but because you are risking your 40 year old QB. I don't understand why they brought Favre out for the last series and had him passing anyway. If Favre gets nailed on a pass rush and injured that 4th down play would be considered by most people as being very stupid.
4th and Goal from the 5 yard line. Dallas was in coverage, they just couldn't stay with the Tight End. Thats on them.
i honestly thought this type of debate ended in the season where the patriots went 16-0. that was the common argument against them in teams they devoured and it got silly. why even bring it up now? teams that can score will score. if there were like ten seconds left in the game, then maybe i would agree. but, there wasn't.
Even when comparing the Yates fiasco to this "uncalled for" crap, I didn't see the high school kids playing defense until the end. I didn't see them playing DEFENSE until the end, so they also deserved that beating. Baloney. Play D the entire game. And, no, I won't turn the channel if my team is getting "creamed."

The lack of a touchdown celebration dance was uncalled for. I would have danced my ass all around that field. **** the Cowboys!
I have a different take. Anybody consider the amount of points the Saints can put up? I think the Vikings just wanted to keep the offense rolling all the way to New Orleans. Trying to score on 4th down from 6 yards out is something they may need to do next week.
If Favre is on his **** again next week like he was today... the Saints can kiss their asses goodbye.
I don't think it was wrong. However, it's a little frustrating to hear people in the media like Joe Buck basically mock the Dallas defense while having no problem with Minnesota, given that many of these same guys were the holier-than-thou types that railed on Bill Belichick and the Patriots in 2007 (16-0 year) for being unsportsmanlike when they were blowing out everyone and staying aggressive in the second half. Even if you look at the six-page thread here on this BBS about the Patriots and their second-half aggressiveness, you'll see a much more even split in poster opinion than you do here. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=136803 In my opinion, it's a game, and no matter what the score is, you execute and play to score. It does have an impact for down the road in terms of continuity. But I have a funny feeling that part of the "reaction" to this from the Joe Bucks of the world is because it went in favor of his hero (Brett Favre). Likewise, it's no secret that a lot of fans here and around the NFL can't stand Dallas. I'm curious to see what the public opinion is when a team that's hated does the same thing Minnesota did today.
