Wesley wasn't even a two-season rental, and now he is gone. And now we have absolutely nothing for Boki, a 1st round pick. Worse, the way Boki is playing this year, we could really use him. Bad trade.

During the first season that the Rockets played without Boki, I farted 4,648 times.

Boki might be sucking but remember his challenge of Karla Malone in our playoff series vs. the Lakers in like 2 plays or something? That was awesome.

V-Span, hands down. V-Span is quick, very strong on D, quick hands, a great handle, and a keen ability to penetrate. from what i remember of Boki, he has an okay shot, but that's the extent of it. others are saying that he's improved defensively, but i haven't seen him play recently, so i dunno how great he is in that aspect now. i don't remember him having any better finishing ability than flyin ryan, and he was never one to lead a fast break, so other than his okay shooting, boki is inferior to Billy.

I liked Wesley's bulldog style - he did good for us. It was an excellent trade IMO, even though he only spent a couple of seasons here

Every time an older player is swapped for a younger one, you're going to have people looking back after the vet is all washed up and the youngster starts looking decent.. and saying the trade sucked. I mean, DUH :p

boki is going nowhere, i dont believe he will be a star in nba, and we could re-sign wesley on the summer, but wuts the point? he did his job , and i like wut he did for us in the first season, but now we choose to use the money on young guys with talent, such as Vspan, i absolutely 100% for it.

Bokie would have been a free agent after that season because we didn't pick up his option, so he would have left us anyway. He disappointed everywhere he's been until this years World championships and his time w/NJ this year.

It wasnt a mistake, Boki is like 2nd/3rd of an extremly shadow bench in NJ. If we still had him i highly doubt he would be in our rotation

That was awesome, but he hasnt been sucking this year. I've been checking the box scores on Nets games and every game he gets decent time (20 minutes or so) He's got double didgit points and playing decently. I dont think he'll be a star but I think he could average 12-14 per game at some point

I definitely agree with you, V-span all the way! :D
But I dont recall anyone short of one deranged "tersely" browed individual who claimed he was good or better defensively. From the two games I've watched this season of him, he's been the same old Busti on defense, a matador in his prime would be a good description.

    At what point?

At no point has Boki shown he can even average close to 10 pts in 20+ mins, which is the most mins he can ever expect to get given his skill set that he has shown thus far.

Boki has zero competition as the backup swingman over there. Once Eddie House comes back, Boki will probably move out of the rotation IMO.

i don't care what anyone says boki won me over with his amazing dunk on karl malone and then his amazing block a few plays after during that playoff series. wesley was our best perimeter defender that year but he was in a shooting slump and is still in it to this day...

Well it was a mistake.................as far as Yao Ming is concerned. :D

To this date, he still regards Boki as one of the 3 most unforgettable persons he met since joining NBA: Steve Francis, Rudy T and Boki !!

    http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=2556930&postcount=1

He must have missed beating Boki again and again on those Counter-Strike or Warcraft computer games.......

Since we are doing 20/20 hindsight, drafting boki was a mistake, we could have had Teyshaun Prince or Carlos Boozer.
