Too close to call for sure. But considering some of the BS calls Yao had against him, especially the one that cost Luther a layup on that fast break, I don't feel that call was any more of a game breaker than some of the other ones the refs blew.
somebody posted this in espn message board. " http://img137.imageshack.us/my.php?image=goodcallhx1.jpg the refs had an hd view of this "
you know what I find really sad about that pic not trying to blow the party or anything but Noone boxed our their man, all three magic players are infront of their man
It was way too close to call, it looks like it was finger-tips, but with what we have there is absolutely no way to judge it, even the refs live didn't know because the action happened way too fast. No one got it wrong because no one knows what the right answer is, the refs had to do something(it can't end in a tie) so they went with their guts.
How can you ask this question? After all the Refs reviewed it frame by farme and at zero time the ball was still in contact with his fingers. There is nothing to be said, the judgement of the refs must be without question in this case.
no, I'd want a better angle of that moment or I watch the angle that everybody was watching infinite times until I throw my hands up and just say "after further review there is inconclusive evidence and I'll just go with my gut call" which is what I thought the ref reviewing was basically doing when he made the decision.
You have a good thought, but you don't know what refs were watching. There are three of them, not just one. It seems that all of them agreed to the call.
Honestly, I don't really know how any you guys can tell with such low quality video. As someone mentioned the Refs will have an HD replay, where there will be no controversy. Theres three refs to make a replay call and as dumb as it sounds we should trust the refs on this one.
