I think it was to close to call and with that made up new rule call on Yao and a violation of the rule book, they give it to Houston.

I think it was good, to be honest.

That said, I think karma hit right where it needed to. Don't be pushing people Dwight.

Freeze frame this video at the 00:14 mark and it will show that the ball is still at his fingerprints with the clock shot at 00.0. Great call. End of story.

I don't even have to watch the replay. Three NBA referees, trained for situations like this, in Orlando, said it was no good. They would have to be completely incompetent to blow that call.

    End of story.

please tell me you're being sarcastic

that was one of the worst called games I've seen, and I was thinking while they were reviewing that they would give them that tip-in the way they were calling that game

I'm not sure.... maybe those ppl with size 5X" HDTV and DVR can try
    examine it frame by frame.

My opinion is his finger tips were on the ball at 0.0 with the backboard light in it's pre-light mode. If one went by the full light-up of the backboard, then I think he got it off. It didn't help that the label on the ball was facing the hand. It made it more difficult to assess.

However, if we are on the other side of that call, then we know which side we are on then. ;)

There is a huge difference between blowing calls in real time, and blowing a call with the benefit of instant replay.

The refs aren't going to call it in favor of the road team unless they are certain about it.

Officially, it's not the clock being at 00.0 that matters, it is the red light being on that matters.

no.. that's not true.. its the clock.. the red light is merely to help on plays that aren't that close.

seriously? i always thought it was the other way around. well then if that's the case, that helps us, because it takes like .1245676112 seconds after the clock hits 00.0 for the red lights to light up to full intensity.

    Very true, Hayesfan.

Besides, the red light is on with his fingertips on the ball and the clock shows 00.0 with his fingertips on the ball.

Check the vid and pause it with 00:03/00:14.

Here is someone else's take from another board. Thoughts?

But I guess that wouldn't cover tips, huh?

I still didn't have a good feeling while the refs were reviewing...they took a loooooong time to make the decision...even Bullard and Worrell weren't sure

That's right, the light only used for reference.
