If you thought that was the best basketball game you've ever seen you don't watch enough basketball. Outside of the first quarter USA never trailed! It was more or less can Spain hang around long enough to make this interesting?

The best basketball game I ever watched was not in the olympics or in the nba. It was Duke vs Kentucky in the 1992 East Regional Final of the NCAA tournament.

It was absolutely unbelievable to watch from beginning to end.

I await the day when another game replaces it where I am rooting for the winning team instead of seeing a 2.1 second dagger that broke my heart year after year.

I am just curious, if we sent the Boston team instead, could they have done better? Or even an average NBA team?

One of the best regular season games. Well, at least for the last minute.

Definitely not the best game, but I do have to admit I really like the international game flow a lot better than the nba. It seems like its faster which seems to make it a bit more exciting. Maybe I just love basketball and like it no matter where or how its played. I love this game!

i suspect a lot of that is just watching team USA most of the time, considering how amazingly high scoring, athletic, and fast-paced we are. just thinking about the scores i remember between somewhat evenly matched teams, it doesn't seem like the typical scoring is any higher (accounting for 40 vs 48 minute games). they would need to be 80 point games or so to be equal.

No, it wasn't even the best game in Olympics, let alone all of the college, high school, and NBA games that were played.
