Was McGrady's micro-fracture surgery a blessing in the skyes saving us from VC?

so what happened here? that girl got smacked hard.

oh and VC would have helped us past the lakers and possibly to win it all. regardless of whether or not the rumors were true.

The guy was talking to the bartender about how Kobe is better than Vince Mcgrady put together. A Tracy fan overheard the conversation and started talking ****e to him for saying that. That's when he punched her.

Yeah that'd be the dream matchup against the Magic in the Finals last year, lol. Would be interesting if it happened though cuz it'd resemble 1995 Finals: A more seasoned Rockets center with a complete offensive game against a young, raw and physical Magic center that can't shoot free throws. The most likely result? I say another Rockets sweep, rofl

I think we got a better deal with the Knicks. Jordan Hill looks promising and we also got a 2012 first round pick!. I am sure Morey can make use of these assets it gives them more flexibility.

I wasn't glad at the time, but in the long run Morey turned it out to our advantage!

Wait, so the reason you KNOW FOR SURE the nature of these trade rumors is that they are or aren't making what you believe to be common sense? I guess Pau Gasol must still be playing for the Grizzles.

i think i would have much rather had VC (if it meant we won the championship and beat the lakers and nuggets). that beats any number of late first round picks and jordan hill. is this what our line-up wouldve looked like?

    AB
    VC
    Battier
    Hayes
    Yao

    Lowry
    Wafer
    Artest
    Scola
    Landry

if so then that's a solid team with just enough crazy.

Without getting into alot of detail and exposing people, it was never a serious offer the suns ever considered. The rox best chance was in the summer, but the long term deals they were going to have to take back was a no go.

Ok, so you have insider info. Just say that inside of saying you didn't think it made common sense. Common sense is a luxury in the NBA - not a necessity.

VC has one year left that is guaranteed at $17.3MM. The year after is a TEAM option for $18M which certainly won't be picked up.

Even though Vince is not what he was, he was still a 17PPG, 17+ PER player last season. I would rather watch VC next year for $17.3MM than the combination of Battier ($7.4M), Jeffries ($6.9M) and Anderson ($2.5M) in terms of entertainment and skill level...

but the Rockets will have better 'mix and match' trade options with expiring contracts with the combination of players / contracts.

It's on that stupid Jersey Shore show. That whole cast is annoying as hell. I don't condone violence against women, but she probably deserved it.

Didn't Vince get injured toward the end of the season before last?

Frankly, I'm glad we didn't make the trade because unless Adelman had Carter coming off the bench, our defense would have suffered and we'd probably not have made it out of the first round.

And overall our team would have been very different unless Morey could have swung a deal to get Courtney Lee from the Magic and not take back Alston.
