last time I felt the same way when this happened,

apparently we were 4 role players away from turning corners. But a kick is a kick no matter what, it's a defining moment

I don't know if a corner can be turned in 1 out of 82 games, but I'll say this - this team is certainly a more entertaining product than it was last year....and WAY more entertaining than our football team.

Easier to pull for too, now that Dwight is gone.

We are already the team nobody wants to see in the first round, this is a great sign that we got this far prior to Jan/February.

It means there is a corner in sight. That much is crystal clear.

Dick Anderson will probaly go back to his own self, but damn the rotation is starting take shape. The time of tinkering the lineup is coming to an end unless there is a significant upgrade in a trade.

Great point, we may be at the beginning of the end of lineup changes, unless it's just the end of the beginning (barring trades/injuries in both cases).

MDA was the corner. Funny how many were so down on MDA ;).

It was only one game, granted a hard-fought one against the best team in the league at their court. We definitely stepped up the defensive intensity, which is a YUUUUGE improvement from last season. Our offensive schemes and ball-movement looked good, especially with Gordon and Anderson as our 2nd and 3rd options. Harden was great for the most part, but he made a lot of mistakes and had misses towards the end. Rather than going iso and letting the shot clock run down before you make your move, maybe he needs to move the ball around. This type of play won't win you many games in the playoffs.

Agreed, we shouldn't go ISO repeatedly in the final minutes. Stick to what is working. For a second there I thought I was watching a repeat of the OKC game. So glad we pulled it out.

Not sure if we finally turned the corner, but I can say that we will likely be the only team this regular season, when it's all said and done, to win games in both San Antonio and Oakland.

    We are what we are.

Good regular season team. Great offence. Will struggle to go deep in the playoffs.

Should be an attractive destination for max FAs in the off season. Hope we win it all this year, but unlikely. rebuild after the failed Dwight thing (we shoulda traded him for assets last season)

Well, we've beaten San Antonio at San Antonio, Golden State at Golden State. We've also had a really tough schedule so far and yet only 3 games back in the division. Whether that means we turned a corner or not isn't really important, what is important is that we're a helluva a lot better than we were last year and the team is 100 times more fun to watch now. I still think we're one player away from being considered true contenders but hopefully Morey can get a deal done before the All-Star break man. Hope we can get Paul George or someone like that man. Far out, dude.

That was Harden's MVP* year. Rockets were second in the west that year. Harden was suspended the next game and the role players almost pulled out a win against Atlanta. I'm confused if this image is cringe-inducing or a triumph of the season.

What we need to do is after MDA inflates these assets, flip them into All Stars, then we turn the corner. Give MDA credit for that. He was going to make everyone look better than they are. And he did it.

We won't always beat elite teams like GSW so last night was important. This is true of all great teams. Golden State won't always eat Cleveland, SA, etc.

What will make me say we've turned the corner is beating Denver tonight and consistently beating Portland, Memphis and Utah.

No. We have serious problems. If we can't get Harden moving the ball and his body in the 4th quarter, we are done.

I want to say yes but the rotations are still so inconsistent that I think team performance will mirror that. I will say for all of our road games in hand, we've got a pretty good record.

Does the Denver win change anybody's mind? has this team actually turned some kind of corner?

I will say this - this team has a problem in that it hasn't figured out how to handle double teams on Harden very well. He has shown a propensity to turn the ball over in those situations.
