If you have the money and it wouldn't hurt you at all whatsoever financially then I would consider loaning it to her. If you have millions I mean 3k is nothing. Millionaires wipe their ass with 3k so it wouldn't hurt to help the poor girl out if that's the case. Not much different than giving it to charity. If you don't have millions or if you have to get it from your parents then don't give it to her. No way.
Millionaires do not randomly give random people $3k. Specifically because it is COMPLETELY different than giving it to charity. As someone who supports legitimate charities where possible, I find the comparison to be a little ludicrous. Just saying... I would de-friend this person from Facebook.
