She opposed the death penalty, warrantless wiretapping of American citizens, the Vietnam War and the Iraq War. She favored women's rights and equal rights for gays and lesbians, including the right to a same-sex marriage. She also favored non-violent protests of the sort that are ridiculed out of hand by a few posters here. In fact, when Cindy Sheehan was camped out in Crawford, she called her to offer her support. Not only that but she was even a vegan. So, easy question. Was she a "libpig" or wasn't she? And why or why not?
To point out the hypocrisy of the sanctimonious Bush supporters in the CSK funeral thread. Jorge, in particular, delights in calling the people who shared common cause with CSK pigs. He also presumes to know what's okay and what isn't with regard to her family and friends honoring her life and grieving her death at her funeral. In that context he calls her a great American. I'm just wondering which it is. Great American or pig? I'm sure you can understand how I'd be confused. And since he won't address the discrepancy in the other thread I was wondering how many of the rest of you thought Mrs. King was a pig.
Oh, I really didn't. I never take him seriously. I did let him piss me off though. I make that mistake all the time. I'm hella vulnerable to trolls.
Good point. Maybe Jorge could clarify since he invented the term. Jorge: Can you be a "libpig" and a great American? Is that what you meant? Was Mrs. King both?
Well George Bush is both a liar, eavesdropper supporter, torture supporter and a born-again Christian, so I am assuming that Jorge's answer would be yes.
*****Warning***** PARTISAN RAGE ALERT Batman, you've really lost it. Today's meltdown was one of your all-time best. I feel partially responsible. Someone please pull out the STRAITJACKET and put Batman in a padded room.
Pig or no, Jorge? You don't have any problem calling those of us that support each of Mrs. King's issues pigs for supporting those issues. Why are you so scared to call her one?
Jorge is a devout believer in the paranormal and is afraid of Coretta Scott Poltergeist - hence his refusal to denounce her as a libpig or a "demoncrat" - so the answer is that he's afraid.
Well, the D&D just couldn't be outdone by a bum wiping poll in the reg hangout...so we get this??? I voted yes. 'Libpig's' just a less offensive term for the dreaded "liberal" tag i'm guessing. Are most of you suggesting she wasn't more liberally inclined?? You insulted liberals...so you must therefore insult CK? I guess? Why not. Is that what we've come to? Those of you who voted 'no' -- what definition are you using. Hey I've a crazy idea.... Keep the D&D civil (a wise man once said that).
