The Suns game at the time was absolutely a must win after the egg they laid in Dallas. No one was expecting Utah to fall at home to half the Clippers roster and then lose to the Mavs as well.

This team has shown it can win impressively and lose just as unimpressively. I am not 100% sure we will beat the Kings. More like 50-50, which is actually optimistic given our record.
Not saying at all that I'm banking on it happening. At all. But a 42 win 8th seed defeated a 67 win 1st seed just around nine years ago. Just saying... And if/when the Rockets do make the playoffs, I'll be rooting for it to happen again.
A 56 win team won't have a chance against the Warriors. Rockets just figured they had no chance so let's just give the minimum amount of effort to still wind up in the same position as last year, lose to the Warriors in the Playoffs :grin:
That was more of a special case. That 8th seed swept that 1st place seed in the regular season. It almost wasn't an upset. On the other hand we got swept and it wasn't close. Its not happening this year
I think Bev will contain Curry. Nobody can stop him one on one. But Bev can force him into some insufficient shooting games, which will be very helpful

The following year, they collapsed to 41-41, finished 8th in the West, and had a rematch against Utah where they fell again(this time 3-2 and nearly pulled off the upset). Flashforward to the most recent trip to the WCF, the 2014-15 season. The Rockets won 56 games, finished with the 2nd best record in the West, and lost to Golden State 4-1. The following year(this season), they collapsed to 41-41(assuming they beat Sactown tomorrow), finished 8th in the West, and are locked into a rematch with Golden State.
