I am going to type my series preview now. I am scouting the Warriors by watching them vs Memphis and I have seen enough.

Point guard Pat Beverley v. Stefon Curry

Beverley is a mad dog PG currently playing with a steel plate in his head. Curry is a pretty good shooter but has trouble with post ups. Hasn't been as good as he was early in the season but for his body of work I will say

    Advantage Warriors

Shooting Guard James Harden v. Clay Thomason

Harden leading league in points scored and created, Thomason regressed badly this year.[

    BIG Advantage Rockets

Small Forward Harris Burns v. Trevor Ariza

Ariza is a 3 and D master who beasts in the postseason. Not sure who Burns is but he's probably not as good.

    Advantage Rockets

Power Forward Drayton Green v. DMO

DMO clearly better, no need to say more.

    Advantage Rockets

Center Andre Bogut v. Dwight Howard

Howard is Superman, and Bogut is, well Bogut. Granted Dwight has slipped a bit in his old age but another clear advantage due to Boguts poor FT shooting.

    Advantage Rockets

Bench: Terrence Jones, Ty Lawson, Josh Smith, Mike Beasley, Jason Terry, Corey Brewer, Clint Capela v. Landry Iguadola, Mo Speight, Festus Ezekiel, Shane Livingston, Lee Barbarossa

Smith and Jones are freezer fresh. Tons of depth for JBB to choose from. Frankly it's a joke but I guess Livingston could give Lawson some trouble as a big PG. Also Lawson hasn't played much recently so not sure if he's 100 percent ready.

    Advantage: Even

Coaching/Intangibles Rockets have young and hungry JBB. Golden State has festering tension between Stephen Kerr and Bill Walton (who coached them earlier after Kerr had surgery on his back foot). Also Rockets are calm, sitting at .500 and 8th seed. Warriors are exhausted after they broke the LAkers win record. Also Rockets are hungrier because #pursuit.

    Advantage Rockets

Since Warriors have homecourt I say Rox in 6. #pursuit

Well they made it. If you're a fan you can't do anything but cheer as loudly as possible for them! Wear red and get behind the team!

What do you think of the all important Referee advantage?

My sources say Joey Crawfish and Dick Baretta will doing most of the GSW/HOU games...and they tend to favor the Rockets.

Here's Crawfish celebrating a Rockets fastbreak in our sole win last year.

Here's Baretta palling around with Lin and Harden in the LAC series last year.

    Curb your enthusiasm bra!

Let's just hope they don't get blown out by a combined 200 points in this series

    Excellent scouting as usual hp.

Dick Beretta and Crawdad are my dream crew, I would also settle for Haywoode Jeffires in the Replay Center in Secaucus. He could maybe crack down on Drayton Green and his moving screens.

Addendum - since the Warriors spotlight got stolen tonight by Kobe Bryan showing Stef Curry why he is still the best shooter ever and GOAT since MJ they will probably come out overshooting.

Look for JBB and Co to exploit this tendency. Thanks kobe.
