Has there ever been an injury prone player that suddenly become less injury prone? I have seriously tried to come up with one.

Injuries will keep him from having a hall of fame career, but the talent was always there.

He isnt even healthy here. If, its a big if, he can stay healthy, hes worth that contract and then some. Apart from a freak elbow injury and stepping on (Lowrys?) foot, he hasnt had much happen.

I'm glad this deal has been set forth.

Now Morey has a great baseline in working on any future transactions involving Asik.

three year deals for guys like this are good. if he gets hurt he won't hamstring the team through the whole of curry's prime years

He is more of a Defensive presence at this point in his career. Big men are expensive. Asik should be making 13 mill compared to bogut. I don't like it when centers hit just as much as trigger happy shooting guards. even if a center takes four shots a game, he should always make .500

me and this guy I used to talk to at a sports bar I hung out at had this discussion about this exact topic. stupid centers who didn't want to take the money and accept the role and not take shots.

we were like, "ten million to guard the post and rebound, where do I sign up?"

But to be fair to what you said Grant Hill role wasn't as big as Bogut and neither was his contract.

Were Bogut producing like he is capable of producing - 13 points, 11 rebounds, 32 mpg, playing about 70 games - I could definitely understand this contract. As it is, however, I think this is overpay. He seems to be on the downward slope of his career and then there's the issue of health.
