A little more reasonable than the $43M number that came out first...

This is a huge mistake, unless there are necessary games played and/or minutes played criteria.

The guy can't stay healthy. If he could he'd be a top 3 center in the league (yes I believe he is that good behind just Dwight and Marc Gasol), but he can't.

There's no way that deal is fully guaranteed.

It could be. Main reason why it's only a three-year deal.

Just goes to show how coveted a competent true center is.

Asik won't be moved for anything less than a star player or top pick.

"And here's a picture of you with a red-headed hooker..."

    "Oh God..."

"And here you are with an Asian hooker...not bad, mate, too bad you can't get it for free..."

    "I can't believe this..."

"And here you are with the maid, how Schwarzenegger of you..."

    "Stop! Stop! I'll pay."

    "$42,000,000."

    "Yes, of course. Of course."

Bogut also talked heavily about not wanting the conditions specified within the Bynum contract.

Yeah Asik should enjoy his place here in Houston for a while. I say he is either dealt this trade deadline or during the off-season. Most likely after the season.

Which makes me excited as to who we could get. Asik is as good as it gets at the Center position. What if we traded him on DRAFT DAY for a top 5 pick?

It's smart business on his part. I don't blame him.

Even if it's $12 Million, still a great deal for GSW.

This has to impact what Morey can do with Asik.

Wow, I guess they had to do this after pursuing Dwight this summer...

One of the more unexpected consequences of the Dwight signing, poor reactionary moves

Good news for teams in the West. Bogut hasn't been healthy for 5 years

Not only that, Bogut would have been the best center for next year's upcoming free agency. Warriors don't want to be trying to bid against other teams with cap space. Good thing for Bogut is Mark Jackson will be running David Lee for stretches at the 5 spot when they play small ball. Should keep him healthier this year.

warriors won't have any cap flexibility in the next 3 years anyway so this move will not hurt them in any fashion at all.

It will hurt if he goes down again especially with David Lee's horrid contract. That team could be stuck in the 6th seed.

This is the right deal for GSW. They can't afford a healthy Bogut to hit the market as the best center available in 2014. and 3 yrs at 12 mill per sounds about right to me
