Yes, but looking at Rocket's history, I won't be surprised if they lose the next two games against Clippers and Bulls.
I know I know. I am just worried that their results would improve with Penny's return from injury. Penny's a great complement to Marbury in the backcourt. I hope Amare's rookie mistakes screws them up more games. This one okay?
We have to at least win 2 out of the next 3 home games because after that, we are going to play the next 5 on the road, and then we play the Lakers at home and Spurs on the road. Therefore we could lose all the away games and the Lakers/Spurs games until 3/29 vs. Denver. Wed 12 LA Clippers Fri 14 Chicago Sun 16 Phoenix Tue 18 at Seattle Wed 19 at Portland Fri 21 at Golden State Sun 23 at Sacramento Mon 24 at LA Clippers Wed 26 LA Lakers Thu 27 at San Antonio Sat 29 Denver Mon 31 at New Jersey APRIL Wed 2 at Milwaukee Fri 4 at Philadelphia Sun 6 Orlando 8:30 PM Tue 8 Portland 8:30 PM Wed 9 at Utah 9:00 PM Sat 12 Seattle 8:30 PM Tue 15 Memphis 8:30 PM Wed 16 at Denver 9:00 PM The schedule is brutal. If we can tie the Suns before the last 3 games of the season, we can get in the playoff.
You know what, Pheonix fan, why don't you go to phxsuns.net and dream over there? We've got our own fan group here.
Sun12 - I agree completely. I am EXTREMELY worried about that long 5 game Western Road trip. Seattle is playing MUCH better with Ray Allen there, and the WeedBlazers are playing pretty well too, and obviously Sacramento will probably make us look like, well like a team struggling just to get into the post-season. If we can just pick up a couple of wins on that trip and take care of business at home, including beating Phoenix to own the tie-breaker, I think we still might have a shot...
Realistically we should only lose 7 of these. They are Wed 19 at Portland Sun 23 at Sacramento Wed 26 LA Lakers Thu 27 at San Antonio Mon 31 at New Jersey Fri 4 at Philadelphia Wed 9 at Utah Can we make the playoffs if we only lose these 7 games
LOL, Phoenix beating us on March 16. Expect the biggest game of the year from Yao. Just watch how he'll pick everyone on the Suns apart. Rockets will beat the Clippers, and be one game behind. By the time we beat Phoenix, we should have a 1 game lead over them for 8th. Going into the long and most difficult road trip of the season, we need to come out half a game below Phoenix, and once again roar back to 8th, not needing the tie breaker to get us in. Here's something to cheer us up, Phoenix's last 8 games: Minnesotta @Lakers @Denver Dallas Golden State San Antonio @Portland @Seattle Ours: @Milwaukee @Philadelphia Orlando Portland @Utah Seattle Memphis Denver We'll make up at least 1.5 games during that stretch.
What about the ridiculous call on KG when Wiliams was driving to the basket and just moved into KG to get a bail-out?
Is it necessarily a tougher schedule to play against playoff bound teams that have their spot solidified and are resting their starters?
You were on the ESPN message boards whinning about the same thing and one of your fellow suns' fans even called you out for blaming the refs with EVERY loss. Be realistic man...If the suns could've stopped KG and his MONSTER triple double you might have had a better chance. Strange how you don't mention that, or that wally hit a clutch 3 pter to ice the game. Or that Marion had a HORRRRIBLE shooting night 3-15 . scott williams 1-5? And amare was 1-7 at the beginning and was in foul trouble a lot of the game. The Suns didn't lose this game because of the refs, they lost because they sucked...be a man about it and cut the blame game crap.
dude, you're stupid. moochie is a franchise player who just hasn't gotten the playing time behind that poser francis. put moochie on the t-wolves and he'll be an allstar.

In the East, suddenly, no one is much interested in the playoff race anymore. The top three teams are in a major slump, especially the once-dominant Pacers, who have lost six straight and face the prospect of a four-game Western swing starting next week. The Nets are 4-6 in their last 10 games, 10-10 in their last 20. The Pistons are on a four-game skid after winning nine of 10. Spring will do that to you, I guess. But those teams are well above the rest of the conference. The streaking Sixers are in for sure, as are the Celtics. The Hornets are on the bubble of being on the bubble, but we’re going to give them the benefit of the doubt. That’s six playoff spots, with three teams — Orlando, Washington and Milwaukee — duking it out for the final two. So, let’s get to the tootsie in this pop, and break down what each bubble team has ahead of it. Here’s who should be strapping up the high-tops in the postseason and who should be tending the zinnias. PHOENIX SUNS Record: 31-27 Home record (games remaining): 21-7 (13) Road: 10-20 (11) Toughest road trip: A three-game swing through Memphis, Detroit and Indiana in late March. Current trend: Struggling defensively and showing their youth. They’re 2-6 in their last eight, 7-13 in their last 20. Big win in Milwaukee Wednesday, though. Injury update: The team has missed Penny Hardaway, who was having a nice season before requiring surgery on his thumb. Jake Tsakilidis has been out with a back problem, but the good news is, both should be back in the nextweek or so. Tom Gugliotta is working his way back into the rotation, too, giving the Suns the depth and experience they’ve lacked. Playoff/bubble teams on remaining schedule: 16 Gimme wins (games vs. Cleveland or Denver): 2 Head-to-head matchups: March 11, at Warriors; March 16, at Houston, April 11, vs. Warriors. Head-to-head record: 1-2 vs. Rockets; 1-1 vs. Warriors. Projected stretch record: 13-11 Projected overall record: 44-38 HOUSTON ROCKETS Record: 30-27 Home record (games remaining): 20-10 (11) Road: 10-17 (14) Toughest road trip: Trip in mid-March takes the Rockets throughSeattle, Portland, Golden State, Sacramento and the Clippers. When that’sover, they follow with the Lakers at home and the Spurs on the road.Make-or-break time for them. Current trend: One of the league’s most erratic teams. 7-12 in their last 19, 4-7 in last 11. Injury update: No major injuries. Playoff/bubble teams on remaining schedule: 16 Gimme wins (games vs. Cleveland or Denver): 2 Head-to-head matchups: March 21, at Warriors; March 16 vs. Suns. Head-to-head record: 2-1 vs. Suns; 2-1 vs. Warriors. Projected stretch record: 13-12 Projected overall record: 43-39
Hola! NOSOTROS... Sorry. WE CAN GO ON A 7 GAME WINNING STREAK.....it can be possible. BUT ........just please don't lose to the Clippers and Bulls. We are capable of beating the Sonics. Francis can show that he can guard Ray Allen. And Mobley can stop Brent Barry. And Yao can stop Calvin Booth!!!!! hahahaah.... Eddie will be against his future himself Rashard Lewis. And Posey will be guarding one of their Yugoslavian guys.. WE CAN BEAT THEM. Then Portland...which hasn't done TOO well. They have A LOT OF TALENT...but we can beat them if we have a good start and always keep the game close....and we can eventually win it. THEN SACRAMENTO I BELIEVE. That will end our 7 game winning streak.
