You’re absolutely right from a technical point. Plenty of teams have come back from being down 0-2. However, you have to look at how we have played them. Defense has been more than spotty combined with terrible rebounding and careless, inexplicable turnovers doesn’t leave a lot of room for hope to turn this around. We have not been playing smart, sound basketball and I’m not sure why we should think that we can turn it around for more than one game this series.
As bad as we got outplayed and as bad as things were going for us. Down 6. If CP3 hits that three it’s a different ball game. We hung around. Showed some grit. This series ain’t over.
Next game is must win because if we go down 0-3 we have the danger that elimination James will show up in game 4.
To an extent. If they sweep us or win 4-1 it’s like the Texans playing the Patriots every year in January. Doesn’t leave much room for hope going forward. We take it to 7 and it changes how you approach the offseason (signficant overhaul vs tinkering around the edges like last offseason).
Different ballgame if he hits the 3 but same outcome. Even if we’re up 2 or 3 or maybe even 5 or 6 in the last 2 minutes we still lose because of our nonexistent defense tonight.
Agree on Clint but I’m not as sold on Harden. My only gripe with him tonight is why he didn’t have the ball in his hand on most of those possessions in the final two minutes.
If Rockets can bank on shooting over 40% from three on high volume again sure. That simply won't happen 4 games out of 5 though, which is what has to happen to win the series.
I’m just not seeing how we beat them twice in a row based on what we’ve seen so far. Going back to GS down 1-3 seems like the end of the road.
This was somewhat reminiscent of game 3 against Utah. By far from our best stuff yet we [kind of] hung around. Much better opponent, obviously, but CP3 hitting that three at least gives us the opportunity to try to squeak one out when we’re having an off night. Who know, you get stop and then Harden does something Harden-like...maybe it’s going to OT.
That would be unreal. I’m thinking a comfortable win on Saturday and then a close loss in Game 4 heading back to GS.
The way we are losing is concerning. We are hitting shots, but can’t outrebound Draymond Green and cant get easy shots, meanwhile golden states shots look effortless and when they miss they get 2nd and 3rd opportunities. We hit some lucky shots, while they missed some shots they usually hit. Shoulda stole this one... Can’t expect curry to go 3-13 from 3 every game. When it happens gotta capitalize
Like the game tonight when any lead was insurmountable, even though we’re down 0-2 it sure as hell feels like we’re on the brink of elimination.
I'm not sure what this product is. Show runners have written the Rockets into a corner. Can we get a rocky montage or a some Sherlock like epiphany to the players troubles? We diagnose Clint with lupus and he comes back boxing everything out left and right.
