Lol, we're not targeting Steph to injure him, we're paying extra attention to him on defense because he's the best jump shooter in the league. We've been high-fiving jump shooters all season. It's legal within the NBA's current rules. Deal with it.

I don’t remember this. What/when did Kerr say? I remember them doing that. Not only us but Kawhi.

edit: I see the quote now, but don’t remember it. Was it picked up in a timeout audio or something?

Haha, not in the clip that the announcers were crying about it, but there's decent evidence Brooks is wanting a 2nd/3rd "high five" after the shot. And Brooks admitting it last night probably isn't too helpful either. This interview would have been a lot better when the players were allowed to actually play.

If the NBA has some major rule change about basic contact (more than it is already), then the players might as well play in bubble wrap or just move to NBA 2k Sim games. I'm honestly surprised the NBA is letting them play for most part in these series so far, I just hope the honesty last night doesn't make the rest of the series soft.

Agree with everything you said. If we had a Laimbeer, Rodman, Bruce Bowen, Charles Oakley, Artest type player... and GSW kept getting into Harden's landing space, or poking out his eyes, punching his wrists... then for sure one of our own would make sure Curry gets the same treatment. Every great team has that enforcer type player to make sure the opposing team doesn't do anything too dirty to their stars.

Sucks that we drafted Dillon back in 2017 and immediately traded him, because I think Dillon really could have helped the 2018-2019 team after we lost Ariza. For all of Morey and his analytics revolution - his models really forgot the whole team composition element. Team chemistry and having players in various different roles really matters in building a winning team - not everything is about efficiency, corner 3s, and switchable defenders. We needed some players who were willing to get dirty, risk their reputation, and protect the team. Those Harden Rockets.. everyone (aside from CP3) was a bit too nice. We tried to win the right way against GSW back then and I wish we hadn't. Sometimes you have to get as dirty as your opponent to get out on top.

I hope the Rockets are targeting his thumb - and I hope they hit his thumb every time he takes a shot.

Mostly I just hope we knockout that clown Spencer next game

His entire role his cheap shots. Not surprising why he chose the # of an offensive lineman.

His thumb is clearly bothering him and we need to make sure he has the ball and is not just playing off ball.

This is 100% right, man, I can't believe I left Oakley off list, obviously there's more, but Oakley is a major oversight by me, haha.

And very good reminder about Brooks trade, I think you're right on Morey, he did a lot right making a team to beat the Warriors and got the closest to anyone in the NBA when the Warriors were a ridiculously loaded roster. I mean the WCFs were basically the Championship, but he overlooked a few things that analytics won't show (like you mentioned), especially the enforcer part, you need that type of player to keep things in hand.

As much as it sucks to say, Green is a great defensive player and knows his role as an enforcer type and so do the Warriors, he is a huge reason Curry can basically be free of worry even in a softer NBA. He's also the one player they've kept consistent with Curry, and for good reason.

Don't ever forget when Kerr tried to DM the official NBA twitter account to complain about Harden's eurostep, but tweeted it out to everybody by mistake, then deleted it.

He is a certified b****. Fuq him.

If this is what the warriors need to get riled up after getting their asses handed to them, so be it. The entire history of sports has teams targeting injured players. I'm honestly diappointed someone hasn't thought to undercut Butler another time. I'd fully expect the same to happen to one of our players if they had an issue. It's part of sports.

I've watched enough Rockets games, most notably Yao Ming against the Jazz, that I pretty much just say FU to anyone complaining the Rockets play dirty. If they don't call a foul, then it's fair game. I don't care if it's intentional or accidental. If they want there to be no rough stuff, change the rules of the game so we play flag basketball instead.

a lot of posters on this site are lowkey fans of the warriors.. used to confuse me why that was considering the rivalry with their organization.

I hated them not because they were some elite team, but i noticed their primadonna/ excuse making tendencies and how their pr media team starting with ethan sherwood strauss an later moved to newcomers like zach lowe and russillo would always make currys injury excuses the focus of the playoffs when the warriors were not playing teams like the blazers or grizzlies. The warriors know how to control the narrative to get the refs to fix whatever they feel is making it harder to beat their opponent. With the 2018 rockets.. man to man they couldnt do anything to affect the outcome on their end with their roster even with kd. So the nba stepped and had scott foster ref game 1 and game 7 of that wcf series which both ended up rockets home playoff loses.

"Heaven forbid! I would NEVER do something like that, and I don't appreciate you trying to impugn my delicate playing style!"

    or maybe

"Nah, I'm actually trying to punch him in the nutz."
