It's pretty one sided as of now, but these past seasons there has been a fair amount tension between us and them. Curry and Harden going from friends to enemies to Harden disrespecting them on video saying they aren't a good team and the potential of facing them in the playoffs every season for several years makes me think a true rivalry is brewing. Their fans (bandwagons) are some of the worst in the league and they absolutely HATE the Rockets. I check on their forums from time to time and some days they post more threads bashing us then they do talking about their own team. Our current rivals are pretty mediocre (Cuban n friends won't be good for a long long time and the Jazz All-Mormon squad still fails to make the playoffs) I would love to see a new rivalry take shape for some entertaining basketball. Y'all think its possible?
Too one-sided bro... btw Cuban & friends > Rockets j*zz had a ton of injuries and will still probably finish with the same record...
We were rivals during this time: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/3a7M__7s8pA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Both young, middling playoff teams finding their way. Then GSW made the smart decision to fire Jackson and hire Steve Kerr while we kept hold of the pathetic McFail. Ever since Kerr was hired, they have gone several tiers above us. What's it like 11-1 in the last 12 games? Not sure that is a rivalry. if it is, it is a one sided one I still expect us to win our first round against them
Weve been having some battles with them since Mark Jackson was their coach, but ever since Kerr took over, it's been one sided.
Their fans on other sites are obsessed with hating us. They're still salty that Harden got Players MVP over Curry
These two were already going at it during JH first season here. We may consider it a rivalry but the Warriors are not phased by us for one second.
A rivalry consists of two teams that have an even chance of beating eachother. This is not that. We would spank them in a series. 4-0 we advance only to lose in 5 to a depleted trailblazers team who loses Lillard & McCollum in the first round. Book it
Rewind to last playoffs and I would've said yes. Even in years past, remember that game where they started hard fouling to prevent the 3 point record? They're a bunch of glitz and glamor prima donnas, but they took the 10 steps forward while we took 10 steps back.
