So wait, lets get this straight.

1. Government shuts down thanks to Republican hostage taking on the Affordable Care Act.

2. Realtor friend has trouble getting mortgage paperwork done as a result (since the offices required to process that paperwork are currently shut down)

UPDATE: It appears that Buffett made his anti-Obamacare comments in 2010, thereby showing that he, like most of the American people, has opposed Obamacare since even before it was passed—a point that Mark Hemingway addressed yesterday in response to USA Today’simplication that Americans’ widespread dislike of Obamacare is mostly attributable to Republicans’ efforts to fight it.

Did you even read the Politifact article? It's right there in the middle.

"Buffett's office told PolitiFact that the blog reports do not reflect his views. Buffett "has never said or thought that Obamacare should be scrapped," said Debbie Bosanek, Buffett's assistant. She said she showed him our research and that he said our analysis "covered it very well."

It does say that Obamacare isn't Buffet's preferred solution, but that he thinks it's better than nothing.

 

You've got to be pretty desperate at the point where you're trying to use old quotes taken out of context to make your case. You're scraping the very bottom of the barrel of desperation at this point.

 

This is the common thinking for most folks (except the Right). Obamacare isn't even close to what it should be, but it is at least an attempt and on the right path. Eventually, we, hopefully, get to a much more efficient system through changes that will be needed in the future. Obamacare isn't going away. The sooner the Right realize this and work to improve it instead of continually complain, wanting to get rid of it while offering no alternative. Just get over it and move on.

And yes, Buffet, I think is basically for a single payer system.
