Yes! Loud music, glow lights, not obeying traffic laws, littering, the smell of armpits of the unbathed, but cracks and spandex...Love these nights.

    Says Ziggy only.

LOL. I was thinking the same thing. I don't think they start until after 7 so we should be good.

it doesn't even affect driving times much unless you happen to decide to drive straight through the meeting area around 7-730

It does slow things down for sure if you are not aware of where they will be. If you are running late, it will drive you insane. Most of the bikers are ok but some are just idiots that stray into the opposite lanes and stuff. It has just gotten a little too big. It can be aggravating but most dont mean to be annoying to drivers.

Last month I got stuck on the exit ramp at I-10 and Westcott due to Critical Mass. It was extremely dangerous as the backup of cars was all the way on I-10 and cars & semi trucks driving 60+ mph had to slam on the breaks. I almost witnessed multiple bad accidents. It ended up taking close to an hour for them to all pass and people in their cars were absolutely enraged. They should really block the exits where this takes place so that this does not happen. I could of easily taken the next exit and been home within 5 minutes but instead they only blocked the intersection where the bikes pass which caused people exiting the highway to be unaware.

I do not agree with Critical Mass one bit, especially the way it is being organized. They need to shut down the main streets around the route rather than strand motorists for over an hour.

Why don't they just do it on the network of bike trails throughout the city?

Don't both of these suggestions run counter to the whole point of Critical Mass, which is to make motorists aware they're supposed to share the road with bicyclists. If they arrange it to not be in drivers' way, then they admit bikes and cars can't coexist.

Bro, you know I hate that hipster ****. I've seen a hammered critical masser eat a bumper hard around midnight in the museum district not too long ago. Made my night.

They don't really go anywhere. It ends at a different place each time. There's no real point or purpose to it aside from people who like to ride bikes getting together and riding bikes.
