I wouldn't associate his football performances to the basketball court.

Horry and Cassell were both booed vehemently when the Rockets drafted them.

Brooks was instantly replaced once a better option came around (Cassell), and there was no negative fan uproar over that.

Kenny was just about run out of town during the 1995 season, and only his performance in game 1 of the Orlando series helped erase the numerous times he was BURNED by the likes of Derek Harper and Kevin Johnson (oh... how KJ burned both him and Cassell... those peformances by him were legendary)

When Herrera was let go, not one person made a sound.... hmm.

Bullard played out his career with us, and we were greatful... he was good at what he did.

Elie was much loved, then he burned us...

In the end, those players were only "loved" because they all contributed to championship teams. If the same happens here within 3 years, you will be annointing guys like Sura, JJ, and Mo-T with the likes of those championship-days role players.

Nooooooooo! Two of the guys I really didn't like. :( How is it that they couldn't even get Jones, who's from Houston and signed cheap, or James, who pubicly said we were his first choice and who signed cheap?

I know there wasn't much out there, but geez... we had to be able to do better than this.

If nothing else, Ward is the best QB in Houston

I'd still take David Carr. Ward wasn't a very good passer and would have been a WR if he stuck with football

considering his age and the fact that he hasn't played since college

    ..I would take Dave Rigone

even if the money was equal, I think Jones decision has something to do with

    1) playing with Shaq

    2) not playing on a team that cut him

    as for James...???

    All these dudes have personality.

So Kenny had defensive issues, but he did represent the Rockets in the slam dunk and three point shooting contest in the same All Star Game!

Carl Herrera was called "AMIGO".. which means "FRIEND"

I saw Otis Thorpe at the McDonald's drive thru and he waved!. You see any of these snooty ex-Knicks doing a thing like that?

I think Ward is better than any UH QB.

    ...WARE IS THE HEISMAN??

Snooty? These former knicks have been here half a season, you haven't seen them at Mcdonalds and suddenly they're Thurston Howell the Third.

I guess you haven't been to a game in a while, Turbo was laid off last year. We did however get to see Clutch attempt to dunk a few times :)

When I saw Pike at Dave and Busters he was signing for everyone, however I have to agree about the rest of the list. Spoon was also signing, but it didn't last long and he ignored people when they came and asked him afterwards when he was walking around.

Also, wasn't it the Kings Kenny represented or did he also represent the Rockets in the slam dunk contest?

I though he and the others on that gynastics team that became all the mascots - were getting too old to do the stunts
