    Greatest meeting ever.

Not only does the idiot Trump spill Israels top secret intelligence (something that they explicitly told the USA not to share with anyone), but he also calls Comey a nut job and admits to firing him in order to ease pressure from the Russia investigation.

SNL better run for 4 hours this weekend. There is too much information to make fun of.

So Spicer now is a liberal deep state fake news perpetrator since he confirmed that the NYT story that just came out (where Trump calls Comey a nut job and admits he obstructed justice) is true when we all know it's fake news. The Deep State runs Deep. Gotta stay dug in Trump fans.

Yeah, it could go that way. I thought Democrats went way overboard saying Comey was trying to rig the election. We could see that spirit come out again if Mueller doesn't draw blood. Right now, I'm willing to accept whatever he finds, but I've never been very party loyal. And things can change if he does stuff to undermine his credibility.

Reg Comey: I think the obvious explanation for the letter now was that he knew he had leaks in the FBI and he would rather get out and front and craft the public message himself rather than it coming out that the case was reopened and letting the media run wild.

I do think that faced with no good decision obviously concealing is not the best option IF we know for a fact it would have come out either way. If it wasn't going to come out though Comey royally F-Ed up but I have to believe that's why he did what he did.

Reg Mueller: I'll be surprised if Flynn at least isn't indicted so it's not like this is going to have a happy ending for Trump and his fans. Even if Trump "wins" he will almost surely lose politically in the long run. I'm sure that Dems will be shocked and appalled though if Mueller comes out and says he's 100% innocent but that's just the nature of such a huge build up. If I had to bet money though I'd put money on at least Flynn bearing the brunt of any indictment which is still not a true "win" for Trump.

Oddly enough the most hated man in the world to Trump fans (Obama) has worked overtime to help Trump out by telling him to not hire Flynn and earlier in the Summer keeping Comey from going public on the Russia investigation.

Maybe this is true - but I thought plenty Democrats, including the Obama was very careful in their statement and never crossed the line to indicate that Comey was rigging the election. I'm sure there are some that felt that way, but I'm thinking plenty more do not. Even on this board, when the poll was should Comey be fired for his handling of Clinton's investigation, most said NO. What Comey did was inappropriate, out of historic norm, but it wasn't viewed as malice (rigging the election). I'm thinking this is YOUR perception and is an incorrect one. I also think most liberal will accept the outcome of the investigation, whatever it be. I think if this was the other way around, it would be the opposite. I based this on the general fact that conservative has less trust of institution and government than liberals.

It is also not surprising to me that conservative think that Dem will turn on Mueller. I think it's classic projection - it's what they probably would do and think others will behave like them.

Apparently, London PoPo still want him for violating his bail so he's still never getting out of that embassy. Also, if he somehow does and ever visits Sweeden again he's going to be detained - they just pulled the international warrant, not the criminal case.

Trump Revealed Location Of U.S. Nuclear Subs In Call With Duterte
Can this man be trusted with state secrets?

U.S. President Donald Trump told his Philippine counterpart that Washington has sent two nuclear submarines to waters off the Korean peninsula, the New York Times said, comments likely to raise questions about his handling of sensitive information.

Trump has said “a major, major conflict” with North Korea is possible because of its nuclear and missile programs and that all options are on the table but that he wants to resolve the crisis diplomatically.

North Korea has vowed to develop a missile mounted with a nuclear warhead that can strike the mainland United States, saying the program is necessary to counter U.S. aggression.

Trump told Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte Washington had “a lot of firepower over there”, according to the New York Times, which quoted a transcript of an April 29 call between the two.

“We have two submarines — the best in the world. We have two nuclear submarines, not that we want to use them at all,” the newspaper quoted Trump as telling Duterte, based on the transcript.

The report was based on a Philippine transcript of the call that was circulated on Tuesday under a “confidential” cover sheet by the Americas division of the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs.

In a show of force, the United States has sent the nuclear-powered USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier to waters off the Korean peninsula, where it joined the USS Michigan, a nuclear submarine that docked in South Korea in late April.

According to the Times, a senior Trump administration official in Washington, who was not authorized to publicly discuss the call and insisted on anonymity, confirmed the transcript was an accurate representation of the call between the two leaders.

U.S. officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, have said Trump discussed intelligence about Islamic State with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Russian Ambassador Sergei Kislyak at talks in the Oval Office this month, raising questions about Trump’s handling of secrets.

Trump also praised Duterte for doing an “unbelievable job on the drug problem”, the New York Times reported, a subject that has drawn much criticism in the West.

Almost 9,000 people, many small-time users and dealers, have been killed in the Philippines since Duterte took office on June 30. Police say about one-third of the victims were shot by officers in self-defense during legitimate operations.

The Philippines is historically one of the closet ally the US has in Asia and even have a mutual defense treaty with each other.

And nuclear submarines off the coast of Korea wouldn't exactly be a secret, considering a carrier group is already there and they're almost always escorted by a nuclear submarine and CNN even reported on one:

Agreed that it's hard to tell if the submarines' presence is really all that sensitive. But, your characterization of our relationship with Philippines is really insufficient. We have been allies, but Duterte has been anti-American and cooperation from them has definitely taken a hit. I wouldn't say Duterte is a guy we can trust as an ally at the moment, even for a Republican president.

I think the relationship has improved a bit since Trump became president? And even with the strange Duterte behavior in 2016, the US and Philippines still have pretty close military contacts and reassuring the Philippines about its fears in NK should be helpful in mending the overall relationship further.

Duterte may have had specific beefs with Obama which would be better with him gone. He might also like that Trump is a man cut of the same cloth as him. But, a lot of Duterte's 2016 rhetoric was coming out of (or leveraging) anti-imperial resentments from bygone US policies. And, Duterte has since made moves to get closer with China. I don't think a few compliments about how he incited thousands of murders plus some insider info for him to spread all over the internet can just pave over everything that happened in 2016.

You can be consistently wrong if you're unrepentant.
