mduke: Are you still in the league? You haven't posted a line-up and your team page still says that the manager is "Computer Manager". I have been in the sim for the last 7 seasons now (like others have said haven sims these things fast because I only joined it seems back in November 2001). There are 2 things that I really enjoy about this league: 1) It is SO much easier to keep up with than a regular fantasy baseball team plus more interesting. 2) We are now in season 2010, so a lot of real players like Barry Bonds, Greg Maddux, etc. have retired leaving players who are prospects or just starting out in real life being the main guys plus guys like Beadles that have been created by the game. This makes it more of a challenge because you can't automatically assume that getting say Mike Cameron is a good thing because now he is 37 (his actual age in 2010). This forces you to really look at the ratings report. Also, joining this league helped me get to know alot of guys that I had brief contact with in the past in DVauthrin, Nomar, Heath, Puedlfor, Castor27, Anticope, SteveFrancis3, The Cat, boville, franchise/smallz, haven, SamCassell, Zac D, Raven Lunatic, DEANBCURTIS, BGM, and DieHard Rocket plus our newer guys (joined since me) in Hayes Street, kidrock8, moestavern19, and JAG. I would definitely recommend to any newcomer to find you an experienced owner and ask them if they would be willing to be your "advisor". I wished that I subscribed to that philosophy sooner. An example is that The Cat is moestavern19's advisor. If you are interested, I would do like the others have said and go to chat one night and tell them you want to join...then ask who would want to be your advisor. It would be great if we could get this league filled up and have no computer GMs....I personally think it is the best of the fantasy/sim leagues that I have been involved in.
red: I don't know if you were being serious or not, but there are plenty of other guys in the league who are more qualified than me. I have never done anything in that league. Nonetheless, if you really want me to, then I'll try to help you as much as I can.
