    Rockets summary

    Cato starts

With Eddie Griffin skipping Tuesday's game in Sacramento, the Rockets started centers Kelvin Cato and Yao Ming together.

Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy has used his centers together for stretches of each of the three games since Yao's arrival from China but said he has no definite plans to use Cato at forward. Van Gundy, instead, said he has simply been happy with Cato's play and was happy to give him extra playing playing time.

Cato said his job does not change with the position change, with one exception.

"It's more tiring," Cato said. "The four man, you got to do a lot more running. You have to take the ball out and run the floor. But that's fine. Other than that, the four and the five are interchangeable in Jeff's system right now."

With Griffin missing and Maurice Taylor hurt, Cato played only at power forward, with John Amaechi serving as the backup center.
