There might a tinge of truth in that but fact is, Yao was the No. 1 pick. If the Rocks hadn't given him every chance to succeed, they would have risked looking like fools. Wang on the other hand, was a second round pick who was paid peanuts. There was no such impetus to help him succeed. I say this while acknowledging that personality mix and other factors (such as skill level for one) had a lot to do with the disparity of their careers.

It's the same for the NFL - you have a high draft pick and you are obliged to give him more opportunities than your undrafted rookie who shows promise because your reputation is at stake.

It is still just a rumor to my knowledge. Some guy from a more realiable chinese media outlet wrote a piece and stated in his opinion Wang will head back by mid-April.

The fact that WZZ never got into better shape tells me everything I need to know about his work ethic. That doesn't require anything besides your own willingness to work hard. And it would have directly translated to increased mobility on defense and undoubtedly more playing time.

he is one of those "what could have been" ....remember he came to the NBA against the support of china....so like stated before, he didn't have the support team like yao did, and he went to Dallas....like his defense wasn't that great already....just amde him worst there....no one ever pushed him into the weight room and etc... I thought he could have been a Toni Kukoc clone....big guy w/ a three ball shot and plays facing the rim....but u know, he turned out to be a bust...he might as well come here to houston so Yao can teach him something, maybe he can still be a guy off the bench....i think he's still pretty young too...mid late 20's? i forgot....

Does anybody remember when somebody posted a thread here containing photoshopped images of a naked Zhizhi (censored of course) playing basketball? those were hillarious.

It seems like a big Wang isn't ALWAYS useful.

Wang has no skills, no power, no endurance, and no use.

Wang Zhi Zhi once went to a bank and asked for Renminbi with Chiang Kai Shek's face on it. And got it.

Here goes our dream PF. :D and it's official now, Wang just returned to China today and he will "possibly" join CBA later and prepare for 2008 Olympics game.

PS: It's kind of funny how they named the directory name
