Golden State might pick him up. Wang has a lot of fans there.

No, as I said a year ago on this board that Wang is one of the five worst players in the NBA. then i got flamed for it. let's see if he catches on with another team.

he is NOT a better shooter than boki and plays similar defense too.

anyway, i don't think yao and wang get along that well.

i would LOVE to have Bateer on this team. at least he works hard and rebounds. not wang though.

No, just pointing out that just because the Clippers cut someone doesn't mean that player is as worthless as you think. Who knows? Wang may become a very good NBA player just like Troy.

One more thing, Wang is not better than scott padgett. Padgett busts his balls when he's on the floor, Wang doesn't. There for Padgett >> Wang.

I agreed with most of what you say. I say we give him a try out at least. It won't hurt to have another shooters on your team.

So WangZZ is a 3-point sharp shooter?

But HE IS A FREAKIN CENTER! What is a center doing at the 3-point line shooting 3 pointers while leaving the paint empty!

We complained that EG as a power foward always camped at the 3 point line. WZZ is worst, he is a center who is too enthusiatic to shoot the 3pointer.

    That's problem number one.

Problem number two is his personality. He always keep to himself. Not enough interaction with teammates. Language is just a minor problem - he is not the only foreign player in the NBA. Yao managed to fit well, so do the other nationals. And WZZ was too pampered in China because he was the star and team leader. He is used to being lazy and not hussling on the floor. Only plays offence and no defence.

Problem number three is that, based on problem number one and two, and the fact that he hasn't changed much since 2 years ago, I personally think that he doesn't take advice well-enough to change. In other words, I think that he is a little stubborn.

But, he still can make it to teams in the east. There are worse centers there.

Wang is actually a soft PF, versatile on offense, pathetic on defense. He's no center in NBA.

Wang is just plain SOFT. He's HORRIBLE. He has NO GAME, no talent, just size.

No way, in H*ll, do I want him on the Rox.

Wang has tons of offensive skills, but not as good defensively. He will be do well in the Eastern Conference.

I think quite the contrary. IMO, Wang will get roasted in the Eastern Conference where teams play more physical D relative to the Western Conference. Where will Wang play? Center? Power forward? Small forward? In none of these cases do I see Wang earning minutes from "purer" positional players. Size-wise, by my recollection, he is as tall as Brad Miller, yet talent-wise, offense or not, Wang's just not 2nd string material.

As a 3-point shooter, I'd take Pike or Padgett any day over Wang b/c at least our two Ps are physical players who can get down an dirty if need be. Wang does NOT have a post up game. He's too slow to beat people off drives, and he's not a rebounder. What's left, offensively for him to showcase?

    Wang a Rocket?

Really, really, really bad idea. Someone said it best. Send him to the Eastern Conference. He'll do better over there.

At best, he'll be a good role player off the bench.

At worst, he might get short, temporary contracts.

Your marketability isn't so high when the Clippers reject you.

10 Reasons Why I Hate Wang ZhiZhi

    1. He is so slow, even my grandmother can beat him off the dribble.
    2. With his pudge, he'd have a hard time intimidating a 3 month old baby.
    3. He proclaimed to know the weaknesses of Yao Ming, and parlayed that into playing time for the Clips vs. the Rox.
    4. He plays softer than a baby's butt
    5. He runs like he HAS a baby's butt
    6. He reneged on his national duties and played hardball with the Chinese gov't
    7. He stayed in the States for the $$$
    8. He's a 7 footer who can barely dunk
    9. His head is so big that when he runs, he looks like the AOL icon.
    10. He's so white, even Shawn Bradley has to wince when looking at him.
