Does Posey look a little like Drexler used to on the break? Drexler would look awkwards at times dribbling down the floor with his head down (although he was a great finisher).

    Walton is an azz...

Freakin' know it all...he was so biased toward the Fakers, it was pathetic...

He does come up interesting stuff, but last night he was a joke...

    Biased?

Walton prefers Yao to any player in the league, as far as I can tell.

Yao got annihilated. It was pathetic. He looked like Shawn Bradley against Shaq, last night.

    Combination of:

    1. Shaq had a very good game.
    2. Yao had a very poor game.
    3. They doubled Yao. We didn't double Shaq (Why  ?)
    4. Shaq is better.

Walton also said some very nice things about Mo Taylor and Glen Rice (who both deserved every bit of it).

    Chill out.

Dude, when you get on a topic, you don't stop, how many flopping posts have you made today. As far as I am concerned, the day the Rockets start flopping, is the day I stop watching. Floppers never win (Utah) and winners never flop. Its bad Karma.

As far as the game tonight, is it me or are the Rockets the only team that doesn't consistently run their offense. They always get frustrated and go into one on one, and everyone's guilty, except maybe Yao and Rice.

what is your definition of a flopper, anyone that takes a charge? What I have come to realize in the NBA, you have to make a scene if you want to A. get the reffs attention. B. Get the proper call. The reffs almost dont want to call certain types of fouls.

    1. Offensive fouls, are pretty much only called when a player "flopps"

    2. Over the back, the other player pretty much has to knock the guy over to get a call against him, but if the rebounder keeps his balance and the ball, they wont call over the back

    3. Reaching, I mean when its blatant it gets called, but unles you knock the ball out of there hands, then the reffs call the foul. Stilll they just might "reward" the fouled person with the ball back out of bounds.

I cant say this enough, basketball is a non contact sport. That was how its supposed to be played, I mean there will be incidental contact, but not the crap that is being allowed. Stern you want higher scoring games? Start calling the fouls that I lisetd above, it would clean it up and create more scoring opportunities for those not named shaq.

Oh, and as a coach, I teach my players to "flop" Its part of the game, if you want to convice the reff you just got run over you are going to have to "flop" or else they will call a blocking foul on you, but they still do about 30% of the time.

So true. Shaq gets away with murder, as we know. Divac is crafty and a veteran. When Yao has a fraction of his experience, we will see some different outcomes. Shaq should spend a large part of each game with his butt on the bench... saddled with offensive fouls. And I've always found it offensive that he doesn't. Dream didn't get treatment like this from the officials. Not anywhere near to this extent.

I think Cat and Posey are kinda equally bad in different ways. Cat messes up a fastbreak by never looking to pass. He tries to make an acrobatic layup ever time he has the ball on transition.

Posey, on the other hand, screws up a fastbreak by passing the ball either into nothing or into the hands of the defender. That pass last night would actually be a pretty easy pass if he just knew the concept of a "bounce pass." Instead, he made a waist-high pass with the defender between him and his teammate.

Divac is a flopper, Malone is a flopper, Stocton, is a flopper, I don't want the Rockets to be floppers, I understand trying to get the charging call, but when Malone hits the floor hard after Moochie Norris bumps into him, it sickens me. To me, its cheating, if you fall on purpose. Jordan never flopped. Hakeem never flopped. That's the players I want the Rockets to emulate.

Are you being like Bill Walton, and being sarcastic?

Jordan flopped a lot on the offensive end. Flopping isn't limited to just defense.

Who is? Shaq is MD(E? Jury is out, said Wilt.) Shaq is the difference maker. Period.

All that said, if Yao had his shot 'on' he could have had 20 and the game's complexion would have been radically different.

Yao had an odd night. Shaq had an on night. But Yao is no match for Shaq right now. Yao=22 year old rookie. Shaq=30 year old veteran. Let Yao GROW and get EXPERIENCE in playing Shaq before y'all begin the bashin'.

The Rox don't play with a flow. They just go. My feeling about a coaching change has been that I think (I hope) a new perspective is necessary to increase this team's sadly deficient efficiency quotient.

There is a fine talent base in place. I hope Larry Smith can jones the teams' talent into a talented, winning team. T-E-A-M!

My favorite part were Walton's audible groans whenever the Rockets took a really dumb shot or made a bad pass. I was making the same noises at home.

I'm suprised nobody mentioned that Walton said maybe the Rockets should get a point guard, move Steve to the 2,and bring Cat off the bench. I would have thought some people would be all over that.

I don't think he said exactly that. He like said MAYBE. And he was saying Francis move to the 2 to be an off guard and get a true point guard. He said our offense was too stagnant and had no flow. That's why we need some good, not overpaid players. Bill loves the Rockets to me. He seems to love Yao the most since they played the same position. He said A LOT of stuff. Mostly about the Rockets. I wish he was an assistant coach.
