    Charles Oakley :D

I can imagine Oak chucking a ball at Ming because he didn't order bearclaws on his rookie donut run.

In a good season? Errr... how about in a season when nobody else scores? The Rockets featured two players who averaged around 20 ppg last year. Kenny was, at best, the 3rd option. When Mo was in the same situation, he fared about the same... and with worse rebounding.

We know that Mo can average 18 when he's the first option on the Clippers. That's not very applicable to his situation now.

I have the PERFECT banger for this team to compliment Yao. His name is David Stern. Stern is going to baby this guy. There's so much riding on Ming's success in the NBA that the refs will have strict orders to keep an eye on any foul play. Stern's the best banger a billion people can buy. Within the perimeters of the rules, I have little worries about Yao. He can pass out of the double team and there are plenty of finishers on this team. Double on Yao and leave Steve or Cat open? Pick your poison :p

I'm a fan of Mo, but him putting up 18 and 8 in a good season? uh, when? I believe he put up 17 and 6.5 on an offensively challenged Clipper team, but Mo has never gotten back to that and has never gotten close to 8 rebounds a game. And KT has gotten better every year, now after his first year as a starter 14 and 7 is the best he can get? puhleeze.

KT is a good defender. He plays solid positional d and gets blocks. He is sooo underated defensively just because of his size. He is what every team needs, a solid all around forward off the bench who can spark the team on both sides of the court. He is certainly a better defender than Mo, and has a much "meaner" attitude.

That being said, I don't think KT will stick around long term unless he will resign for relatively cheap.

Also if any big men have to be dealt, I'm sure there will be a suitor for Cato. I would much rather have MoT or Griff get some minutes at center, a la Thorpe, while finding an inexpensive big body to back up Ming.

    What's left...

    1.Ricky Davis
    2.Eduardo Najera
    3.Gary Trent
    4.Rodney Rodgers
    5.Lee Nailon

Need some muscle? Davis would be perfect.

KT= "Keep Traveling" with that dumb ass predictable spin move you have.

I hate KT, i hated him since a rook, man Kt only averaged 1 reb more than maurice talor. Kt got to go.

As for bill walton we have taylor to be our muscle, well he has the power now he needs the attitude, and i'm sure he has it. And Cato has been bustin his butt this off season and will be like the old cato we saw foamin from the mouth. He will be a power player watch. Walton said francis was an outside players? pleaze what ever, he drove in the lane a did some crazy **** one those bog boys down there, and same as cuttino. I konw he didn't go to the free throw line that many times by shoting jumpers. Hell no he took it to the cup. We are not that soft.

The Dream had guys like Jim Petersen/Sampson in his early years and then Otis Thorpe and Barkeley. Granted that Sampson isnt a banger, he definitely had physical presence in the paint.

Kenny Thomas is the best power player we have right now. Regardless of what other people say about him, he gets in there and bangs with the best of them. Ask Shareef Adbur-Rahim. When it comes to dunking, nobody dunks like Mo Taylor. He brings it with Power. When he takes it to the hole he finishes strong. I remember when he dunked on Ewing. That was a nasty one.

He asked about the second championship. None of those players were on the 94-95 team. But we did have Brown, Horry, and Herrera.(But Herrera was hurt)

    Can't WILLIS play alongside Ming?

Low post threat to complement Ming's outside shooting.
How much better of a banger can you get without giving up vital parts of our current team? (Oh wait, isn't he on our team right now anyway?!) :p

Frankly I think both Griffin and Kenny have buffed up enough to take on this role already, and together with Rice and Yao, gives us already a pretty stong team inside in terms of 'bangability'?

But if we see the opposing team punishing our guys, we can always put in Willis. He may be old, but he still knows plenty of moves to establish authority...

No worries! Rockets have it all covered!

it seems like most people just hate kt for the hell of it, because i've yet to hear a good reason why he sucks. he works his butt off and he has stepped it up EVERY single year. what does this tell me? that he in fact is more likely to improve then level off after just 3 years. i love all these, "kt can't possibly get any better" comments.

unfortunately he will always be undersized and probably second fiddle to both mo and eddie. but, if we can sign him cheap it wouldn't hurt at all to keep him as a spark-plug/energy guy off the bench.

i love KT too. I did this last time, and I'll do it again.

just look at what we said when we drafted him!

and look at how far he's come...

if any of our PFs meets even half of our expectations for them, we'd be already thanking the stars. and frankly, MoTay and Griffin are blessed with far more natural talent.

how can you help but root for the guy!

Seeing the situation right now: Mo T coming back from injury, KT being the only reliable inside presence last year but still improving to starters level, Griffin too young to be effective inside and Cato lack of talent or inside moves.

There is just no way we can currently say who will be most effective as our starter at the PF spot with this team this year.

We can say who "merits" it most; based on what the player gives ont the floor, but that is very subjective, even Cato shows some fire from time to time. Personaly, I think that Kt gives it more regularly. However that is not enough, you need overall effectiveness and effectiveness takes into account the other players on the ream.

There is little discussion to say however that the players with the most untapped potential are: Griffin, Mo T and Cato. Although I believe Cato does not have the lasting will, basic fundamentals and talent to get there in a short period of time.

The question of the PF spot will remain open for 2 to three years, at that time, we will be able to max out their trade values.

Give them a break, and may the best one win and avoid injury to prove it...

Nice call Crisco, but you know how much HeyP loves (I mean Loves) Etan Thomas, he would almost trade Dream and one of smaller than average testicles for Etan Thomas......

that poses an interesting question, what has happened to the bangers in the league, there are no young Davis' or young Grants .... the league is turning into Marshmallow and the Rockets are loaded to make a run !!!!1

Keon Clark is a free agent now, and I think he can be a banger PF.

OK, so Mo flushed one on Ewing, that's like me dunking on my grandmother. I expect more than one or two dunks per season from my 4

I will continue to be a MoT hater until he is either traded, or demontrates that, like the Grinch, his heart is not three sizes too small :D

K.T. has EARNED the right to start along side Eddie and Yao!! That being said, I still like our odds of going with Keon Clark as a good starter and eventual back up to Ming instead of Cato

I think the Rockets should kick out all their free agent players becuz there are too many players already. They should make their lineup like this.
    Starter Bench
C Yao Ming : kelvin Cato
PF Eddie Griffin : Jason collier
SF Maurice Taylor :Kenny Thomas: Terence Morris
SG Cuttino Mobley :Bostjan Nachbar: Glen Rice
PG Steve Francis : Moochie Norris: Tito Maddox

They should let glen rice goes after his contract expires. This lineup is the bomb. With big guys in the front. Also should re-sign steve francis. Go Rocketsssss...

    Yao Ming's #2 fan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
