lol at walmart claiming that this bill will hurt employees

We are only looking out for the best interests of our emplyees

I dont understand americans fear and hate of unions. they are trying to leverage their negotiating power in order to be on a level field with management.

oh and save me your optimal results economic rant. I understand, Im an economics major. But I still believe you have to balance Efficiency (doing things right) with effectiveness (doing the right thing).

If only unions actually looked out for the employees ... all too often the union leaders are the fat cats and rarely actually look out for the employees. They are just the sheep that follow blindly.

I don't have a problem with people unionizing, but if an company no matter the size chooses not to hire union employees, they should have that option.

How efficient and effective would companies be if they layoff people to pay others more?

Wal-Mart employees are always upset. Sorry 40 yearolds, you should let the teen-agers work for those wages and go get a different job.

totally agree, its irrational. what i love is the "yeah, they did some good, but now their usless". like the good they did is so irrelevant.

People that work in those fields work as hard if not harder because they may work multiple jobs than those with degrees working 9 to 5. If we're talking about work ethic, those guys should not be faulted and taken advantage for such minimal pay.

Fact is no matter what job you have, the work ethic you must maintain will be relatively the same. The only difference is the amount of pay you receive.

100% agree...lets look at toyota for example, they Temporarily shut down their tundra factory here in SA for 3 months…and guess what? They kept all of their employees on the payroll. Why you ask? Because they are balancing efficiency (letting everyone go and rehiring new workers when plant opens in 3 months) vs Effectiveness (keep their employees and perform kaizen everyday so that once their plants reopen they will have both happy employees and more effective employees)
