Plus... He would be reenergized and talent around him in the lineup. Plus... I love his obp. With shifts, drawing walks is pretty important. Plus he still has pop from the right side where the crawford seats are close.

I still think Choo, with the Rangers picking up almost all of his remaining salary in exchange for a decent pitching prospect (like James, Armenteros, Valdez, or someone similar) would make sense.

If I had confidence Choo was gonna maintain his 2018 level of play I would be all over that. but over the last 5 seasons combined his slash line is almost identical to what Tony Kemp's is right now. I think we would more likely just get the regression portion of his season.

I think he's an upgrade over Gattis and his nothing but occasional homers output, but not Kemp or White.

The current thing plaguing the Astros right now that worries me most is our ace, Verlander, suddenly pitching like a mere mortal. If that doesn't turn around then I have to decrease this team's chances come October regardless of any moves the team may or may not make at the waiver trade deadline. Also wouldn't hurt if Correa steps up his hitting in the stretch run.

Biggest change for Verlander: he gave up 12 HR in his first 20 starts; 14 in his last 7 starts. If you look beyond that, he's issued 5 walks and struck out 63 in those 7 starts, including games with 12, 11, 14 and 11 Ks. Hitters are still missing *a lot* of his pitches - he's just hit a stretch where when they *do* make contact, it's leaving the yard. With a pitcher as good as Verlander, that is likely just a random stretch of bad luck.

    I'm not overly concerned.

He is pretty close to the last person on this team that I'm worried about. No, he hasn't been 2000 Pedro Martinez in his last handful of starts, but this guy is a pro that gets up for big games.

If Justin Verlander is truly our biggest worry at the start of October, I'll be VERY happy.

I wouldn’t be shocked if McCann returns. Rotation and Pen value him.

Could retain Maldonado and pair him with Stassi and be fine too.

Alvarez will probably get ab’s in spring training. Right now I’d say White has a jump as next year’s DH. Look more for Alvarez to take over Yuli’s spot when he reaches free agency

I remember alejandro saying his time spent at left field was the most uncomfortable.

    CJ Cron has cleared waivers

Giants are pulling MCcutchen from all lineups for an impending trade once he clears or is claimed

God I hope it isn't the Red Sox, Yankees or Oakland.

Idk but with the way we have Injurys he needs to be traded for.
Cutch would be the jolt these guys need

2013 NL MVP. Yeah he has regressed, but his dude could be our Dexter Fowler a la 2016 for the Cubs. I guess it is wishful thinking that the Astros will get him....

That may be so but he is about to clear unless he is claimed

So if the Astros missed on Pham this should be a no brainer.

I think Andrew McCutchen and Matt Harvey could fit in with this club.
Andrew more then the other. But if you could pull Harvey to.hmmmmmmm

WTF would we need Harvey for? The guy is a nut case and would not fit this clubhouse.

I thi k McCutchen is the key to the rest of this year. Letting Springer get healthy before the big push is highly important.

Would not be surprised to see OAK trade for both Harvey and Cutch.

P.S watch Harvey get traded on the anniversary of Hurricane Harvey because... you know... illuminati.
