u r really good at visualizing his skills and how much he's lost! given the fact that he hasn't even stepped on the court yet in the season.

people are freakin stupid. if steve francis and kirk snyder are the guys OUT of the rotation...that's a good thing. we got a lot of depth. dont mess it up unless you get a great deal from another team, or if steve's ego gets in the way

This is a great idea.

I love it when people start their own thread and take an "impassioned" side about a controversial subject and then think that somehow these words will change the minds of the masses who have already made up their minds anyways.

    That is what buzz is.

We've heard all this sh*t before. You're not an innovator of ideas. Jump off a cliff and die, you troll.

Yeah right! Les is going to have Stevie "FrenchFries" waived and he will have to eat another 2.5 million dollars from the payroll. You ain't got a clue?

by the end of the year either head or francis will be in the dog house because both are defensive liabilities.....AS SOON AS HEAD STARTS SCREWING UP OR GOES ON A SCORING SLUMP THEN FRANCIS WILL GET MORE BURN

Gotta love that kind of logic. We dont agree on whether Steve would be good for our team so lets just assume im right and waive him! That will fix all the arguing!

Wow... reminds me of a certain "leader" of the free world.

No, we want Francis because, unlike you, we actually think about the future. And with this team's history of injuries it would be stupid to cut a talent like Francis. Obviously you hate Francis or you would be smart enough to realize the Rockets have a big time history of injuries, even going back to the championship years.

The premise of this thread is ridiculous on so many counts.

Francis is way too talented not to crack the lineup. When he does he will bring a slashing, tenacious, Sura-like determination that no one else on this roster has. He will play an important role in this season, and as it has been said previously, there are 79 games left.

Supposing he never plays a minute on the court. He stays out of shape, never understands Adelman's system and turns into a cancer. If all of this affects the Rockets then by all means cut him, but the front office would look so stupid for waiving such a huge fan favorite this EARLY in the season.

In my opinion his passion for the Rockets and the pride he has in his playing ability and legacy will overcome any attitude problems he has. I may be wrong and he still could be the immature kid who refused to play in Canada but give the guy some time. Again, his salary is negligible and you don't cut high reward/low risk options.

Lets have this conversation in February if he's still not playing.

I agree with the thread title. SF3 is a distraction. He needs to go.

Snyder was in the rotation to start the season last year. He got hurt and never got solid playing time again. Bonzi was a big hit and miss last season. Injuries happen and you can't predict them. If Alston, James, or Head go down, Stevie's probably next in line. Yeah, we could probably make due with Brook and Snyder but it's nice to have options. And there's absolutely no point in waiving ANYBODY unless you know you're going to add somebody who is better. So if you cut SF, who are you going to replace him with that's better?

I dont think we should waive steve because he could be a valuable replacement if one of the pgs were 2 get hurt. SF3 was out shape, but he could eventually become the starting pg. He has the athleticsm and I think that out of all the pgs he has the most potential to lead us to a championship. I dont see skip or MJ as championship level point guard but if steve gets it together...
Unless Steve becomes a cancer like Marbury I would just keep him. I mean there not losing anything. Theyre already payin him.
