FYI, it looks like certain Torrent programs will be thrown out the window on Waffles and What, such as Vuze. Transfer everything to uTorrent or you wont be able to seed.
I wish I had some invite to a certain site to offer. . I got nothing... Anything you are specifically looking for though?
What are the standards for remaining active on Demonoid? And why does uTorrent now cut off my internet connection on Comcast (Windows 7). Answer those questions and I will do that trade.
<br> I am not sure what the exact standards for demonoid are, but I have a 1.00 share ratio. It's kept me going this long. That doesn't mean that people abuse the system either though. I usually get pretty fast download speeds. As for the second part, I am not sure how to resolve that problem. Perhaps someone with better knowledge on connectivity and the such could help you out there.
I'm willing to trade too, if you are willing to be a good contributor / downloader. I have demonoid invites I'm willing to trade.
Guys, I have been getting internet connection drops every time I run uTorrent on Windows 7. I haven't been able to seed regularly for awhile. When I try and Google the problem I see other people are experiencing it but nobody seems to know what the problem is and uTorrent doesn't seem to care all that much about addressing it. I feel like its Windows 7 related... does anyone happen to know a fix?
Hmm... I'm running uTorrent with Windows 7 (64-bit) and having no problem with drops. Have you tried something other than uTorrent?
I am not having that issue but trying another client seems like the next logical step. UTorrent saves the torrents in %AppData%\uTorrent You can load them up in another client (of course one that is allowed by the trackers you use)
Well I switched from Vuze to uTorrent when Waffles said they would start blocking Vuze. uTorrent worked fine but after I updated the software it started dropping my internet. It took me a LONG time to realize it was uTorrent that was causing it -- I would just go reset my router like an idiot each time I got dropped. It wasn't until it got reallly bad that I finally isolated the issue. What is another good alternative to uTorrent? It was a PITA to make the switch from Vuze, chose uTorrent because I heard it was the best.
Try this before you give up on uTorrent... Options | Preference | Advanced | Disk Cache - Remove Checkmark next to 'Enable caching of disk writes'
Didn't work but I appreciate the help. Any other ideas? What exactly did that do BTW? Should I re-check the box?
By sites like Waffles? Because people found a way to exploit certain clients to jack up their ratios.
I was reading up on a message board that people experiencing the same issues you described were able to fix it with that change. Go ahead and revert back. Waffles should probably have an allowed client list on the site. When the movie tracker i use temporarily banned uTorrent (they allow it now), I switched to Deluge and had no issues.
