LOL GG. Definitely DJ Strawberry overall, he has better game, but I would mind keeping both and cutting say Harris or Head.
Imagine Brent Barry on one side and WAfer on the other side of the wing and shane battier on top of the key 3 point line.. Pick your poison baby 3 in yo eye ( 3 point shooters all over the place add tmac and brooks who can hit the rock too.. KABOOOOoM SHAKAKAKAK ALALALA!! lol
you gotta keep Wafer for his offense, that's where we're the weakest, i'm sure having artest, battier, and hayes helps. we need someone off the bench who can create shots for himself and others, also hit open shots. to be honest, i wish we could keep both and just trade head for a TE.
i like the fact that both of these players drive to the basket, id rather keep both of them and get rid of head and harris but if i had to keep one id keep strawberry, good D
It will be interesting to see what Adelman does....his predecessor always leaned towards defense first..... I think Adelman would go the opposite direction. DD
I would like to see straw and wafer being cut, with head and harris on team because I like the former rockets a little bit more. but I'm afraid luther head is gonna be cut because les intends to use his 2m/yr contract being bought out to avoid the luxury tax. No one esle can take this tough task of being cut off other than luther head who's unnecessary yet has such a contract that can pull les back from the luxtax black whole which is les's nightmare.
Those who sacrifice a little defense for offense, deserve to suck at both . I believe Benjamin F. gundy once said that. so with that in mind, I would keep strawberry. I don't think head gets cut, otherwise that would be my ideal situation.
I'm sure most of the board will agree that Luther really hasn't lived up to his expectations, but think about what kind of player he is and the position he is put in. With our later units running the show, it doesn't alleviate the defensive pressure off of him like having mcgrady or yao out on the field. He is known to be proven when given the wide open shot, but does crack if pressured. I would say to hold all judgment until he runs with more of the first unit, getting him open looks before making your decision on him this year. As far as the debate between Strawberry and Von Wafer, I would have to go with Strawberry because he is a bigger guard, who can match up well with other back court players who tear us alive. (see Deron Williams) It seems that he plays with a chip on his shoulder, and is unafraid to bring it home, which is what we need, a proven slasher. I think that if he sticks around, our coaching staff could really develop him into something. It really all depends on his determination and how much he is willing to push himself to get better (i.e. Carl Landry)
Even with Battier, Barry, Brooks, and Head already on the bench? That's plenty of shooting right there. Defense off the bench especially at the guard position is needed more than another streaky shooter.
What did he do in the playoffs??? Besides get OWNED by Korver? Let the dude go, Barry will make up for his absence and Wafer/Strawberry add size!
