Wafer - Rocket or Not?

    co-sign. he has great potential, and at such a young age its possible that he can be an all star type player. the rockets have great defense, they just need more points on the board.

    if tmac really is out til decemberish, we can really see what von and james white can do. give white a chance also.

    The Rockets will most likely be telling Von Wafer, "Please wait and see what happens with Ron Artest before you sign elsewhere." That is really their only option, since losing Artest to free agency would require the Rockets to replace Ron's production via their MLE.

    If Von wants anything above the league minimum, the Rockets will need to dip into the MLE to pay him.

    You do the math. Von's not even getting an OFFER from the Rockets (above the league minimum, that is) until Artest has either been re-signed, traded or signed by another team.
