When wafer has the ball the only thing he sees is the basket and nothing in between. So I think he should start off the bench and be a spark there
Because egos are involved, I would continue to start Ron and Battier, but based upon whom is playing worse, I would increase Von's minutes. Divide the 96 minutes up by whom is playing the best and helping the team that day. DD
Wafer had some really bad defensive moments in yesterday's game. I love his offense generally (not quite as good at passing from the perimeter as Shane ... but he more than makes up for it with his abilities in transition and his scoring off the dribble). But that defense is cringe-worthy sometimes.
Shane doesn't have an ego. He'd gladly come off the bench, and do whatever the team wants. Ron, well let's just say we both agree on him.
No, I meant that Ron might not be so comfortable NOW coming off the bench. Before when Tmac was in the mix, sure, but now...he thinks he is the star...which is part of the problem. DD
Sh|t neither Ron or Shane can guard Roy so I say start Von in place of Shane cause Von atleast has the footspeed to stay with him and if he can't we can just outscore 'em.
I really think we need Battier's defensive savvy and intangibles for the starting position and as the game wears on, you sub him out with Wafer's spark off the bench. If you could somehow trigger a spark of offense from Battier AND Wafer, you'd get the more offensive contribution. What we don't need right now is a major line up change. It would be more detrimental to the team then beneficial. We just need to include Yao into the offense more and have, no instill, some sort of disciplinary action towards Artest when he chucks 1-8 3's and keeps chuck'n up. I was really surprised to see how well Aaron Brooks was shooting the ball late in the game, he really needs to start that offense sooner and become more aggressive. Sure you can be selfish but you still need to contribute points wise.
