It would be nice to ship out at least one of Ariza and Battier. Then we could start talking about a max guy this summer.

That analogy would make a lot more sense had Wafer not come in with the second unit and routinely played tons of minutes with Yao on the sidelines.

The irony is that he fit last year but he REALLY fits this year.

Add him to the floor with Brooks or Lowry running and Von finishing.....

    OMFG !!

I highly doubt Morey or Adelman promised Von Wafer big minutes for the rest of the season to get him here. That's not the way they operate, and this guy is not worth promising anything to. There is a reason nobody signed him to a lucrative contract last offseason.

I'm guessing we had no interest in him initially, but now that Budinger went down he fills a void since he knows the system. Then he becomes insurance after the deadline if we make a deal involving a package of Mcgrady and one of our young wings. I'll be absolutely floored if Battier goes anywhere, unless it is for an all-star caliber player. We are nowhere near as good this year defensively without him.

Moral of the story: if Morey offers you a contract, you better take it, or he'll sign you to a smaller contract in no time.

Rockets are around $2.5M over the tax. If they offer Von a non-guaranteed contract or the minimum which is pro-rated. They can still get under the cap by sending Cook ($3.5M) to the Grizzlies (depends on Jaric's buyout) or OKC.

If battier or chuck leaves this team will most likely unravel, as another poster said. We play good together because everyone likes everybody. Should ship ariza. or tmac.

Holy crap! Glad he's back. I hope he's more humbled and accept whatever role RA has for him... DM never seizes to amaze me. I missed Von's spark off the bench.

I'm not worried about who gets what minutes. Whoever RA needs on the floor, that guy gets to play. You can never have too many scorers on your bench. If someone is having an off night shooting, you just bring someone else in. Von just gives us a deeper bench.

He's a true bonehead that provides tons of offense and puts oppossing defenses on their heels. And he can really finish.

Why is everyone acting like we just got Joe Johnson for nothing?

Von is good & all, and I like his game...but now it's OK to trade Battier or Ariza?

    Seriously?
