So instead of Jermaine Taylor being "the next Von Wafer", it turns out Von Wafer will be "the next Von Wafer". Love it!
I mentioned it but im suprised they actually did it, hopefully it's true love the passion he brought off the bench
interesting can someone drive over to DD's mansion and make sure he isnt dead thanks haha he got his jersey # stolen
wow that's crazy, it seemed like a sure thing that he was going to the Grizzlies...never knew that the Rockets would even still be an option for him.
Morey always wins. Morey probably has a smirk on his face since he got Wafer for the price he wanted. I am all for Wafer signing for this price, always have and always will. Definitely will help.
I doubt this spells anything having to do with McGrady or any trades. It's more likely that Morey sees someone who is worth more than the minimum available for the minimum and decided "Well, why the hell not?" Wafer is very good value at a low salary. The minutes will shake out as the season goes on.
"This is great," Wafer said. "Oh my goodness, I'm so happy, I'm about to start crying." "I want to play in the NBA," Wafer said. "I want to play for the Rockets. I love Houston, and I love their fans." Wafer will not be available to play for the Rockets Tuesday night when they play the Los Angeles Clippers. What a shocker, welcome back Von.
So Daryl Morey refuses to sign Von to the overprice figure that he wanted in the offseason, and now I can only assume is getting him for a fraction of the price after what happened overseas. Another line on Morey's resume. Brilliant!
The Rockets have prevented the Grizzlies from using up their cap space that they've just gotten from Jaric's buyout. Depending on Wafer's contract, the Grizzlies are now another destination the Rockets can send Cook in January to get under the cap.
