    HOLY CRAP!!! Wafer's back!

Everyone's who's thinking Wafer's signing means the end of Tmac or whatever is just overanalyzing the situation I think. My opinion is Wafer's signing is a completely independent of Tmac's situation-at the vet min (or probably between 1-2 mill a year), Wafer is such an amazing bargain.

Look it up last year, even with his bone-headedness, he was our 2nd most productive perimeter player. Just by his sheer production on the court, we're looking at a Jet/Ben Gordon type of guy, and now we have him back at roughly the same contract. Judging from his reaction ("I'm so happy I'm about to cry"), it looks like Wafer has now been humbled and is looking for a fresh start. I'm just really happy we got another guy who can make open shots consistenly when C-Bud and Battriza start firing blanks.Welcome back Von

You can not sign players to a 10 day contract until after January 5th, I believe.

Wafer will be here all year and will push Battier and Ariza and Cbud for playing time at the SG position.

This is AWESOME news.....just imagine him on a running team? He is an ELITE athlete and a great finisher on the wing.

I wanted him back, but at the right price, clearly Morey did too....

    What a coup....what a coup.

Watch that limp in McGrady's stride all of a sudden get smoothed out.

Good signing. He came to his senses- he wasn't worth all the money he was asking for last year and Europe was a mistake.

I'm sure we got him cheap. His insta-offense will be useful.

It's probably my fault that you think that; I posted information from hoopsworld, not knowing that that was a blacklisted site. Won't happen again, trust me.

OTOH - Von Wafer! Woo-hoo! I liked what he brought to the team last year, will be interested to see how he works out with our Rockets this year.

I wouldn't say major, but promising him playing time might have happened. Its also possible he didn't like his chances getting minutes with Mayo and Gay around in Memphis, or perhaps one deal is guaranteed while the other wasn't, or maybe he really just likes Houston. Just speculation on my part he is expecting to be part of the rotation even after Chase comes back.

Wafer has realised he just ain't all that. He got a big head last year. Truth is, nobody wanted to pay him the money he was looking for last year. So he went to Europe, where he realized he doesn't fit everywhere.

He comes back to find only Rockets and Memphis show interest- and will only give him a small contract. At this point, Wafer is getting what he can.

Is he above Chase? Maybe. Chase plays smarter and better D though.

Imagine the second unit running with Lowery, Wafer, CBud, Landry and Anderson.

He helped our team out plenty last year, and should fit better with this years squad and style of play. What do people not understand here?

WOW what a shocker. Im so happy. Always loved his energy and passion. If he can keep his attitude in check he will thrive with the type of team we have this year. Him and Brooks have great chemistry.

Sure as long as he doesn't take Air Bud Minutes. He should be cut as soon as Bud is healthy to be honest. The dude is an idiot, clear and simple. His clearly had a massive beef with the euro team which further demonstrates his clear immaturity which was exactly the same problems he had last year.

Couldn't be happier with this move. I needed me some Von on my NBA 2k10 association league. Not to mention the offensive impact he's going to have on our team this season...
