Wafer failed physical, Rockets sign Harris

    Do we know any details about why exactly he failed the physical? And what does revisit the situation mean? In any case I guess I'm glad, I wasn't too excited about bringing back Von in the first place.

    He had success playing PF. It was when the Rockets were forced to play him at SG due to injuries. Where he played poorly and out of position that a lot of posters unfairly turned on him.

    I was thinking the same thing.

    Mike Harris is our type of player, really liked him during our 22 game win streak. Good reports about him adding distance to his jumpshot & now being a good 3 point shooter. Terrific rebounder too!

    Damnit. We should've cut Brian Cooks fat ass, signed Wafer and signed Mikey.
    I miss Wafer. I love Mikey. With Mikey in Houston, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers should prepare for a downfall.

    Similar to signing Von Wafer, I am puzzled by signing Mike Harris. I thought he played the 3/4 (leaning more towards the 4). Don't we have a glut of PFs at that position named Scola and Landry?

    The same question is why sign Von Wafer. I know Chase is out for 2 weeks, but we still have Ariza, JT, Tmac etc. It's not like we don't have enough players.

    I would've thought there would be a greater emphasis on signing a 5 around this time of year.

    my sources said that he didn't fail the physical, he failed in teh verbal negotiation with DM.

    Sucks for Von. It sounded like he wasn't getting much playing time in Europe, so he might just be out of shape. Hopefully.

    This probably means he can't play in the D-League either. Maybe Yao can sign him up for the Shanghai Sharks.

    He played good at the 4 when he was with the Rockets. Well, we never get to see JT but he's trying to earn some minutes, T-Mac is kept on his 8 minute leash, and Ariza somehow still plays several of minutes. I guess the Rockets could try playing Harris at the 3.
