New England lost way more than the Texans this year and keep on trucking. Injuries are an excuse. Wade needs to learn to shift his system/calls to help the personnel actually playing. He did not. The team suffered because of it.

Maybe after his first season there. Wade is always great in his first year.

In case Noone noticed, Reed had 3 INTs with NY.

Man our coaching was garbage from top to bottom.

That is surprising he couldn't even get an interview. Wade seems like a really cool dude. Hope he gets another shot somewhere.

Maybe because in our "what you have done for me lately" society, your last defense was atrocious even with the best D Lineman in the league on your team and your unwillingness to adjust while said defense is being shredded by the likes of Matt McGloin, Sam Bradford, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Carson Palmer.

The defense was not atrocious. It might not have great.

The issue is with the " playoffs 1st year". His defenses drop off quickly everywhere he goes. He had the same pattern as a head coach - his teams improve dramatically and then quickly regress. No idea why, but it's a pretty consistent pattern, so unless a team is just trying to do well for one year and then let him go, it makes for a not-great hire.

Maybe he only gets head coaching jobs on established teams that are about to have a bunch of veterans regress.

You look at his record and he's never been given a chance to come in and build a team.

Certainly possible - I don't know much about specifics of the teams he's coached, and didn't really pay much attention to the NFL in the 90's when he had his first few head coaching coaching gigs.

It wasn't bad in terms of giving up yardage, but it wasn't good at stopping teams from scoring, which is ultimately the point, and was putrid at forcing turnovers.

None of the guys RockFanFirst mentioned actually "shredded" us in terms of yards, but we gave up 3 TDs each to McGloin and Bradford.

Fitzpatrick didn't play well against us so I'm not sure why he got mentioned.

Expect the opposite from Romeo Crennel. His is more of a "bend but don't break" type defense and generally ranks higher on the "points allowed" list than the "yards allowed" list. Wade's defenses typically do the opposite.

We love you, Wade, but I don't think it's much of a surprise that the DC from a team on a 14-game losing streak isn't getting much interest around the league.

It was certainly closer to being atrocious than it was to being great. Dead last in forced turnovers and stops in the red zone, and among the bottom in sacks (and that's with J.J. Watt). If that's not atrocious, what is exactly??

Yea I noticed. He got beat on a couple of plays too but he looked better there than he did here.
