I felt bad for Wade myself, we've seen this happen to our stars too many times.

This is the end of the Miami Heat. Next year Shaq is just going to drop down futher in production - it's clear he's in his twilight already. Miami's season is done. And Wade will be back next year, but his shoulder will never be the same anyway. Was it his shooting arm? If he needs surgery - man, that's going to be bad news.

Sad to see it. It's almost like when Barkley had his career ending injury - you knew it was all over for the Rockets for years to come.

I guess that leaves Detroit as the favorite in the East now.

the refs treat a play like that the same way as a foul on a shot. shane set up luther with a wide-open 3, so they let it go. if he had lost control of the ball, a foul would have been called.

Horrible news. I hope Wade can make it back in time for the playoffs.

It made me kind of sad to see how much pain he was in though. This sucks for Miami.

That's a little dramatic don't you think? Miami's season is done but I don't think you can his shoulder will never be the same. Barkley was just about done anyways when he got injured, Wade is only in his 4th year in the league. I have little doubt he'll be able to come back full force next season.

It wasn't his shooting arm BTW.

Then he will be able to make a comeback. But he's not going to have the same rotation in that shoulder and mobility ever again. It will affect his game I'd imagine, but he'll still be pretty good. You don't recover from these kinds of injuries to full force. I mean, if he needs surgery - it's really bad news as then there is a LOT of damage.

this is really a low blow to any nba fans. the heat were the only interesting team in the east, and if they cant make it to the finals because of wade's injury, then its going to be really boring.

Once they get it back in place, they can determine how severe it really is.....if there is no real damage he could conceivably be back in about 2 or 3 weeks.

    I hope so...he is a great player.

We really demonstrated to them how it feels  Man, why can't we save this stuff for Mavs or Suns? :(

i think if you cant "pop" a dislocation back into place, it requires surgery....but im not a doctor

where's the source that says that he's out all season? i don't remember them saying anything other than he'd havta get more tests and scans done.

but if it were true that he'd miss the rest of the season, i'd be very disappointed. as much as it is to not havta play against dwade, regardless wut team you are, I don't think it's right to be all like happy about it. I really respect D-wade and hope he gets back soon. Even though we won, I wanted to see how far our team was at by seeing whether or not if we could withstand wade in the 4th were our lead dwindling. So the win isn't quite as sweet as it could have been.

If it's only a dislocation, he should be able to fight back to play in the playoffs.

However, I really think it's something worse - possibly a labral tear.
This is really, really, really painful. I had surgery on my shoulder for this reason two years ago, and to this day, I still don't have 100% movement. If this is his case, he'll never be the same.

Before I had surgery to correct it, I treated it like a dislocation and the pain went away after two weeks, but I would dislocate it about once every two months doing something simple: pushing a fridge, reaching into a cupboard, conducting music, skiing, and yes, even SLEEPING.

best wishes to DWade. a major talent, this is horrible news - he may not be the same ever again - the fear of that pain again makes me instinctively VERY careful playing sports or lifting anything.

as much as i dislike the mavs, if anyone goes down injured and rox beat them, mavs fan will never end with the whining, so to make it crystal clear, rox should beat them down with everyone

Maybe he can take over in center at MMP for Chris Burke when his shoulder goes out again

Honestly though, I wouldn't wish that on anyone. He looked to be in an incredible amount of pain. I really feel for the guy and wish him the best.
