Wade still only has one ring...

I'm not sure if you were watching the same playoffs as me...but Kobe had me mesmerized...

Wade's performance wasn't mesmerizing? Kobe's team lost after tanking a 3-1 lead. I'm not sure why you think it's so special. I've seen lots of players have better series than that. Even T-Macs performance in the first round last year against Dallas was better than Kobe's. At least he showed up for game 7.

Winning one ring and an mvp with a rapidly declining shaq > than winning three as a sidekick to a super dominant shaq in his prime. I guess Pippen is greater than Hakeem now huh?

And none of Kobe's final's apperances compares to what Wade did in this year's finals.

I thought Wade was getting the typical superstar calls in the playoffs. The same calls Kobe or McGrady or LeBron would get. The reason he got to the line so much was that he was extremely aggressive going to the basket.

Yeah you say that now...wait a few years and lemme know how dwade's 1 ring stacks up to Kobe's 3...
Lets not get into the regard I hold Pippen in...been there done that...I think there are about 10 open minded people on this forum when it comes to Pippen....well maybe more since the expansion of the sight...

If Kobe still only has three rings in a few years and DWade has one, I'm not sure it proves anything. I don't mind people saying that Kobe is a better player than Wade because of his height, strength, skills, whatever....but to say that he's better because he has three rings to Wade's one doesn't make much sense. Especially because Kobe played on a much more talented team than Wade and Kobe played with the most dominant player in the league during his prime.

Pippen is a deserving hall of famer and one of the best small forwards of his era. But he's not a better player than Dream, even though he has six rings to Dream's two.

Heh u completely missed my point there...he was going on some rant about how Wade's finals performance which equates to one ring is more impressive than Kobe's 3 successful final appreances (obviously he's had more)...and I simply stated that he should check back with me in a few years and see if he still feels that way

Kobe played with the way super dominant Shaq. His visibility was gonna be slightly limited cuz of that. He also played with the super EGO Shaq.

Shaq says all the right things when it comes to Wade and also has taken a supporting role behind Wade to back it up. Thats AFTER he himself got more washed up and came to realization his game has diminished. He deferred to Wade only cuz of that. Also Shaq liking or disliking the person played into it.

If Shaq would have remained in L.A. and deferred to the skills of Kobe, would Kobe have been LESS able than Wade to step up to the challenge? He'd already shown he could be comparable to the younger Shaq in certain situations so I wouldnt say he'd be less able A vote of confidence from Shaq would have been HUGE i bet, the same way it was for Wade. I'm implying that Shaq contributed almost if not more to the Kobe/Shaq rift than people want to see. But maybe Kobe's attitude really is that rotten where people get tired of his crap so who knows...I just found it interesting Shaq defers to Wade's skills and its fine for him to do whatever he wants on the floor but didnt for Kobe's arguably better skills....

....Can we revert back to the tattoo thing? There's been plenty cultures and civilizations ancient to modern where there's actually deep meaning placed on body markings. Middle Eastern cultures come to mind (red forehead dots, henna), African tribal markings, many others. In the U.S. though....really what IS our culture? Money, clothes, fancy technology and pop culture and p*rn, thats it. Wedding rings are maybe the only physical adornment thats a norm in our society. Anything done after that is for a fashion statement, or to get attention and responses from people. Cool if the person can make the choice of getting a tattoo, since its not necessarily a good or bad thing...Just depends on if they can go on about their lives without the ones that view it negatively i guess...
