Wade was great enough to win it as a loser.

Sorry, have been on the bandwagon since his rookie year when I watched this kid in his rookie year leading his team in the playoffs...I knew he had the elusive "it" from that moment...it was just a matter of time.

Oh, yeah, and don't forget about Darko, I am on his bandwagon as well...just letting y'all know that from now.

The Heat's victory proved that a 'guard and center combo' two superstars team can still win a NBA title. It should give us Rockets fans some hope and make us more optimistic about the future.

    Go Rockets!

I didn't take notice of Wade until the playoffs his rookie season. I was a believer then. I believed he would be an awesome player BUT nothing like this. I hope that Wade is not going to rest on this one ring; he needs to keep on improving his game (lowering those TOs and a better perimeter shot) and I have no problem putting him ahead of LeBron.

Wade finally got his respect...he was overlooked and 'talked down' when compared to the likes of Kobe and Lebron, now who's laughing?

Love the kid, he's so humble, committed, tough, and resilient as hell...his will is indominable, there's no other player in the league I can say that about. His intangibles are far ahead of anyone else in the league.

Being less skilled than Kobe, Lebron, and T-Mac is not a knock on him, but rather a testament to his true greatness, because he's made the most out of less, and proved his worthiness on the court, all the while ducking the hype until very late when everyone wanted to jump on his bandwagon (just the nature of the business, I guess  )

Much deserved ring, the kid is very, very likable, and I am happy for him.

I guess the Wade naysayers don't have much to say right now because there is nothing to say.

Players like Wade make you change your opinion on the game; T-Mac and Kobe have the range and more refined games, but it's really irrelevant when the object of the game is to win not to look good. So right now Wade is on top of everyone, Lebron is next, followed by Kobe and T-Mac because they're still stuck in the past and don't know that attacking the basket is the best way to dominate as a perimeter player. I'm not sure if I 100% like it right now, but that's the way it is...

That's a very good observation, and it was something that had crossed my mind. Wade knows shooting is his weakness, so he doesn't shoot. It forces him to attack instead of settling for the J.

I put T-Mac as number 1 in my NBA 10 list in a thread on this board, because i believe he is the best player in the league. But players like LeBron and Wade don't let their weaknesses get the best of them, thats what makes them great.

Hopefully T-Mac takes (or goes back to) on his attacking game for frequently because with his size, stroke and defense, it makes him even more dangerous than Wade.

Kobe has three as Shaq's sidekick. Wade has one with Shaq in the sidekick role. Compare away.

Dwyane Wade can't shoot? Did some of you miss the finals series? He has a very good midrange game that he showed the entire series. His 3pt shot may not be great, but his 15-20 ft game is superb.

lemmesee a sharp shootin antoine walker, a sick return from alonzo mournin, j dubb, and gary payton hittin clutch shots, hmmmm i think kobe or even lebron would ve swept the mavs, and not gone 4-2

Bottom line d wade, will not get another ring next year, everyone of his aging teammates will need a respirator just too keep up

ps kobe never had a sick supportin cast like dwade.

Kobe may have closed those games, but Shaq did a TON of the heavy lifting. Nobody has "one man ganged" the Finals like Wade just did in a long time. Give the kid his props. Kobe is great, but he's down 1-0 in Finals MVPs to Wade.

And sick supporting cast? If you say so. With Shaq shooting himself in the foot with free throws, this supporting cast has been adequate at best. Wade just scored 40% of his teams points in the last four wins. Everyone else was just keeping it close until he could take over in the 4th.

I think if you want to use the Shaq argument, it can be said that they definitely would not have gotten to the Finals without Shaq. That's common sense. Wade is their best player, but Shaq is still the anchor that gets you through the grind.

HOWEVER...to the guy comparing this to Kobe. Dwayne Wade just basically won this Finals by himself. Posey, Haslem, and those guys were admirable, but Wade's supporting cast was an asbolute joke. Shaq included. Like m_cable said, there hasn't been a one man job like this in the Finals in a WHILE. Shaq and Kobe had each other. Duncan had help. Hakeem had help. Michael was the closest thing but even Scottie was a superstar. Shaq was NOT a superstar in this series. They had to go through Wade all game.

I was one of his biggest critics but he has definitely won me over. I worry about his size and longevity with the fact that he takes such a beating going to the basket. And I wonder if the Heat will be able to reload as Shaq continues to age and Walker's contract straps them down.

Wade led his team to the championship. He WON the series for the Heat and Shaq. Kobe on other hand, rode on the prime Shaq's a$$ to win 3 rings.

Wade = 1 ring + ONE FINALS MVP
Kobe = 3 rings + ZERO Finals MVP

Yes, Zo, payton, posey and even walker contributed in the win BUT they are still role players. Heat won because Wade involved his teammates more than Kobe ever had. Didnt Kobe has had sick support casts before? Malone, younger payton, devean george who many fakers fans believe is the better than Shawn Marion etc etc? Still Mr. Bryant can lead his sick support cast to championship...... sorry kobe wanker!

There is a reason why O'Neal won those 3 Finals MVP's and not Bryant. It's because O'Neal was totally unstoppable inside, averaging 30-10. Bryant was O'Neal's sidekick, not the other way around, and the fact that Kobe was the finisher doesn't really matter much. This time Shaq was not nearly as dominant as he was back then.
