I'm so sick of the D-Wade bandwagon. Who needs to boast if everyone is doing it for you?

Agreed. Tatoos in Western culture have been associated with the low-class and violent persona for some time. For quite a while, only bikers and gang members had tatoos. Now, sorority girls get them on their ankles to piss off Mom and Dad. Like it or not, it is an adornment that most people interpret negatively, along with nose piercings, eybrow piercings, and other body mods. Take two people: give them the same resumé, same job skills, same education, same background, and have them go on a job interview. The one without the tatoos and piercings gets the job, every time. Do these things make you a bad person? Absolutely not. Do these things make most people think less of you? Unfortunately, yes.

So, saying that Wade's lack of tatoos is indicative of a straight-laced persona may be stereotyping, but in most people's minds, it's an ACCURATE stereotype.

I've yet to find a tattoo I didn't find tacky. I remember when the tribal arm band tattoos were all the rage around the bicep. Anything original that would be good for a tattoo eventually becomes a fad and played out. The human body shouldn't be that way. Atleast with a poster or painting you can take it down from a wall. You can't necessarily do that as well with a tattoo. They're just tacky. Not to mention human skin gets wrinkles as you age. Badass tattoo you liked at 18 all of a sudden spreads like grape jelly around your wrinkled body at 48. And thats even if you're in good shape.

Wade's play is driving the bandwagon - he certainly isn't pushing it himself, other than dominating in the NBA finals.

    What do you mean?

It's a real tattoo. By "not visible," I meant when clothed. Is a tattoo on one's ass considered a "tattoo?"

I'm saying it's so small, it shouldn't be considered as one.

When has such a young player, played so well under this level of pressure? Seriously, has any other third year player, basically put their team on their shoulders carried them through the NBA finals? It is pretty impressive.

Also, while I've never liked Shaq, he did give Wade credit for picking up the slack when he couldn't hit his free throws. That's pretty classy.

I jumped on when he took Marquette deep into the NCAA tournament. I was surprised he was picked behind LeBron and Carmelo, the jewel of that draft for sure.

Check the 1980. NBA Finals. ;)

But today, Wade is IMHO in the class of his own.

Early in the playoffs, some people laughed at the others who suggested that Wade is at the same level as (or even better than) Kobe & LeBron. Well, there you have it!

Whoa, Whoa, thats a bold statement, if kobe has the team the wade has now, hed win another three more rings without strugglin to beat the mavs, and im pretty sure u meant to say lebron is in the class of his own,
wade is good, but he has a great supporting cast, dont tell me hes actually doing everythin on his own, like lebron was in this years playoffs?

if ne thin lebron is barely behind kobe.

I guess I'm the only person in this thread who is sick of the Dwade crap...2003 draft class...I'm going with Lebron James hands down
Wade has no 3, his medium range is inconsistent, hes just an excellent driver who takes advantage of being improperly defended/ favorable calls from the refs when a defensive players plays him correctly.

If Wade comes back with a medium range jumper and 3 point shot...and I'll give him the praise everyone else in this thread is....

I agree 100%. He's a great player, no doubt, but he's stoppable. If he doesn't have the refs bailing him out when he drives in, he'd have a far lower FG %. How many free throws did he shoot in game 5? like 50? Plus, his outside game is streaky. He depends a lot on defenders jumping on his pump-fake. He gets way too much ass-kissing from the media too. Comparing him to MJ? wtf. Bandwagon, indeed.

2004-05 season, Kobe had almost the similar team like Wade had during his rookie season (and w/ coach Jax). Where did he take them? To lottery... Most ppl don't remember Wade's rookie season, when young Miami team rallied at the end of the season to make the playoffs, eliminated the Hornets in the 1st round and took Pacers to 6 games in conference semi's.

Speaking of Wade's supporting cast, where were they in the game 5?

It's not just Wade's game, but also his maturity and personality what sets him above Kobe & Lebron in my eyes. Some will agree, some will not... it's their right.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think Wade is the best player in the NBA. I think Kobe and Lebron have more pure talent. But it's just incredibly impressive to see such a young player in his first finals, play with such confidence and maturity. It's not just that he is playing well under pressure, but that he has taking on the responsibility to put his team over the top at the end of the game. That is something.
