Ummmmm .....hate to tell you, but that "mcgrady is retiring" article is from last year when he was with the Magic.
Well the fact that he just reaized he is playing with Yao and signed an extension to be here, he probably is thinking about it again.
What he's thinking about is all the rings he's gonna get once this team gels and gets a few more pieces together.
yeah, you right, he should think about it against, because yao won't play with this selfish junk after his rookie contract.
What is with this? Every year are we going to have to choose one player on our team, and pit him against another player on our team. Are we going to have to create a situation where if you support one player on the Rockets that must mean you hate the other player? Or if you make a critique of one player it's only because you are a 'other player lover'? This is a team, and without the two main options on this team we aren't going to do much. I'm worried about our team, and I will be pulling for both our marquis players to live up to their potential, not looking for chances to hold on over the other, as some kind of a gotcha game. Does it really mean that much to be the top dog, on a bad team? It would be better to be equal dog on a great team I think.
i hate to say this...because i LOVE this website...but i'm so glad that it didn't exist (or if it did, that i didn't know about it) during the championship years. for the very reason you mention here.
READ THE DAMN POST - It's from last year and it's T-Mac talking about the Orlando Magic. Jeez obnoxious and can't read.
Awesome. When Yao learns not to get blocked by crappy centers, pursue every rebound like they are all his by right, and play like he's 7'6 and pissed off about it, then we'll all feel more comfortable with him being the man on this team. Yao without Tmac, or Tmac without Yao...take away either one and we are a freakin' godawful team. With both of them together, so far we're just pretty damn bad.
Neither Yao nor Tmac is ready to be the man. The good news is, Pistons won last year without a man on offense. (Spurs should have won it though. why can't we have a Horry or Fisher....)
Ray, Paja and even A. houston, tons of stars out there perfectly fit JVG's half court offence and style of low post present in Yao.
Knock down those wide open Js, open the floor for Yao, he won't get weak side blocks. Find somebody box out the opposite players, don't just let Yao to one against three fight for rebounds. He always plays as 7'6, you get pissed off because of he is not SHAQ, he won't throw down every time, if you like so much about phyiscal game just go ahead to follow the heat. He never will be the man on the team, because The Rockets isn't building the team around him, everybody including himself know Tmac is better player than him, why try so hard to suppress the role.
Yeah right, they are perfect fit because they don't play for Rox right now. T-Mac was considered a better fit than Steve Francis before he came here. Everyone is wrong, only Yao is right. Everyone must do his best to make Yao successful. Why? Only YOFs will think so.
Yao's success equal to The Rockets success, the whole franchise success and even the global market success, but Tmac was quite success in orlando, two times score champion, named superstar in the market and top five player in the league, but where is he now?????
Nobody thought Tmac was fit to Yao's game or Rox game, he just happen to be on the market in the summer, Rox took a huge gamble on him, and so far it turns into the disappoint.
