Some guy on the Dan Patrick show said that one NFL coach at the workout today said, "if nobody in the top 10 wants Vince Young then he would take him and move the quarterback he has now to the secondary."

He wouldn't say who it was. Any ideas?

 Falcons? Vick is the only starting QB these days who can actually run, right?

VY's sidearm delivery won't hurt him as much as Carr because he moves around more and is a bigger guy. I also think that if VY did change his motion it may be for good just because it would follow in the nature of his progression. Carr seems to only go to sidearm when he has to (when he's getting killed).

I wouldn't mind getting Griffin either. He's aggressive and would pair well with Dunta (because he hits hard).

All these conflicting reports are confusing me. Supposedly it was Lance who said Huff had this amazing workout . Now everyone is posting different things. Hopefully we can get something concrete form ESPN or NFL.com. I read my info here and on HoustonProFootball.com.

I wanted Thomas before we signed Putzier. If we didn't have so many holes I would still pick him in the 4th or 5th but we need to use our picks on areas of need. Good to see J Scott looked impressive. The better the O-Line depth gets the better it is for us.

That would be hilarious but no way. Vick is too fragile and even though I think he's amazingly overrated he still is a starting QB. Maybe Josh McNown? I can't see VY falling past Oakland if he had a great workout. It will be interesting to see what Leinart does on the second. This could shake up the draft again. However, for all those who want ot trade down for Brick and Williams we need great pro days from Bush, Leinart, Young, Cutler, ect... If Huff had one that adds value too.

Doesn't SF have a QB that can run? Alex Smith or something? I know they aren't in the top 10, though.

I think they pick 7th. Smith is pretty fast.

Apparently the Raiders were the only team not represented.

Vicne ran about what I expected. But, he looked fast enough agaisnt very fast defenses. If Vince is a 4.57, ol' slow poke Bush is about a 4.9, 5.0 guy.

In fact, I'll be really, really angry if Bush runs faster than Vince because it would be obvious that USC cheated.

Also, 150 guys showed up? Has to be a record for UT and almost any school

Huff should stand on his combine numbers.

I hope you're being sarcastic. Reggie Bush runs a faster 40 then VY. If you think Bush is going to run a 5.0 40 then I think we'll end this hear. How can a team cheat on pro day?

Man, you can't look at Pete Carroll and not think of someone that is a chronic cheater, right? If reggie runs a sub 5.0, then it will likely be a 37 yard dash.

Also, Salsbury, a USC alum on Vince's workout.:

I'm worried. Salisbury likes VY and says he'll do good.

    That means he's doomed ... :( .

    http://www.dfw.com/mld/dfw/sports/football/14161546.htm

The Houston Texans, who have the No. 1 overall pick in April’s draft, sent 10 representatives, including head coach Gary Kubiak. The Tennessee Titans, who pick third overall, sent seven representatives.
“I love this guy. He’s got a big arm,” Kubiak said. “He was very impressive.”

I think it's still a slam dunk they take Reggie, and maybe they should. Reggie is a great player, imo.

Salisbury said that VY was "spectacular" today. Remember early in the offseason he said that the Texans were the only team in the league dumb enough NOT to take Bush #1, and now he's saying that they have to strongly consider VY.

They better take Reggie. If they take VY, that would be the dumb because they won't be able to trade Carr anymore for value because every team will have its QB set by the draft. Reggie is a lot better than VY IMO. Reggie will be like Marshall Faulk IMO. VY will be good but not great player in this league like Aaron Brooks IMO. David Carr will flourish under Kubiak, Calhoun, and Sherman.

What if they trade Carr before the draft (unlikely I know)? Teams like the Raiders and Vikings need QBs in the worst way and if the Texans could get value for Carr, would you object?

Not gonna happen. They're committed to Carr, and strange enough, the Raiders were apparently the only team not present.
