If we draft Bush, then OL and CB become top priority for round 2
We also need a WR and a Free Safety
We could use a good hard nose MLB also

    So many holes....

I think we were planning on addressing the OL regardless. This is a weak draft for CB's so we might gamble on a guy in the middle rounds. I'm with you on the MLB but that doesn't look to be something we can adress this season. If we get Moulds we're set at WR for now.

John McClain was saying he didn't think that was so...because of Moulds' age. He indicated that the Texans would likely still use a 2nd round pick on a young, good receiver.

John McCain's also the guy who's been saying all along that the Texans were going to draft VY, only to change his opinion due to the way Sage Rosenfels answered his question.

He also thinks Click looks good, but not The Inside Man. :)

IMO that's a wasted pick if we sign Moulds. He still produced last season without a QB. We're only asking him to be a good #2 for 2 more years. Address the WR position another year. Let's get OL's and a CB and MLB if we can. Maybe a guy like Slay from TT in the middle rounds. We love to address positions we don't need to it seems (if we get Moulds). Bush will even line up in the slot some and we just signed Walter.

I don't see how you can make off the cuff empty statements when, particularly: A. you share the same opinion, and B. you don't even listen to him. How can you say that a person is an "idiot" if you don't pay attention to what he is saying. That right there is judging a book by it cover.

If you don't like the guy it's one thing, but to say he's an idiot is another. Maybe that's what you meant by that, but as for the value of his opinion, I can guarantee you that his opinions as a former player in the league, among the NFL circles, hold more weight than Chris Mortenson's. I'm not sure Mort even has an opinion. It seems to me that he uses his media pass and regurgitated info from "anonymous scout" to formulate slanted ideas.

Obviously I have heard salisbury speak before. That's how I formulated an opinion on him and decided that I no longer wanted to listen to him any longer. Sharing the same opinion on something doesn't mean anything. It's one opinion out of millions. What you're saying makes no sense. Harrissment asked you the same question and you didn't respond. Let me ask you this, is there anyone at your work place who you consider a moron (I ask this knowing that there has to be at least one person). That being said, I'm sure they've been right about something before of even shared the same viewpoint as you in certain instances. Your argument is flawed badly in this case.

I don't like the guy and i think he's an idiot. I mean both. How can you gurantee me his opinion holds more weight in NFL circles then Mort. Your logic is because he's a former NFL player correct. Dexter Manley, Lawrence Phillips, and Rae Carruth are all former NFL players. I promise their opinions don't mean **** to anyone. It seems to me you're arguing with me over the VY workout and I have stated over and over that i think he had a good workout. I don't really see your point in all this.

FYI McShay (ESPN's scout.com guy), who has been ragging on VY quite a bit, and a proponent of Cutler, now says he would go with VY over Cutler.

I guess he watched 5 games of each player recently and came to this conclusion. What a nutty way to evaluate draft prospects, going to actual game tapes to make judgements:

The only thing I think he has wrong is Leinart over VY solidly. But I leave it at that for now. IMO ML better work out very strong at SC's pro day (arm strength comparable to VY or Cutler) to be ahead of VY.

It just depends on what you're looking for. VY is much more of a gamble the Leinart. Leinart doesn't have the high ceiling that VY has but you can be pretty sure he's at least going to be a good QB for years to come. With Young, he's going to be a great player or he's going to be a bust. I don't see any in between for him. I would have taken VY over Cutler anyways so that's no big deal for me at least.

Leinart's going to look great at his pro day. They are designed for these guys to look brilliant. Since speed isn't a concern on him (everyone knows he's slow) he just has to make all the throws. He's demonstrated he can do that throughout his college career. Only guys who have to run the 40, lift, ect.... normally hurt themselves during pro days.

What was the context/situation of your meeting?

I remember Merrill Hoge saying Marino wasn't a very well liked guy in the locker room. He sort of blamed others rather than himself.

Vince is going to do well in the NFL.
if scrubs like Aaron Brooks, Joey Harrington, and Kyle Boller can play in the NFL so can Vince.

I'm glad he plays with a chip on his shoulder. That's what happened in the Rose Bowl.

Twice in hotel lobbies. A few different times during the Super Bowl here and a couple of Golf Tournaments.

Not only was the guy nice but I always remember him signing autographs and talking ot people who recognized him. I've been around enough athletes to recognize guys who are a-holes and guys who aren't.

Huh? Those guys are all terrible. Brooks is a prime example of exactly what you don't want VY to be. A super talented player who can't put it together.

Yeah, i know but i just thought it was an unusual argument. The debate has shifted a lot but I still missed the relevance. Those highly rated players flaming out have no bearing on VY's potential performance.

I called rich and vandy's show about lienart at his pro day and they said he will because its his pro-day. I didn't get a chance to respond, but I wanted to say you can't fake or prop up arm strength. Matt Lienart has a chance of falling if scouts aren't satisfied with his arm.

I don't know why anybody would question Leinart's skills either. The guy can flat out play. He played a half of football about as well as he or any quarterback has ever played it durign the second half of the Rose Bowl -- the only problem was that Superman was on the field that night and happened to be better.

Honestly, anybody talking Cutler above Young or Leinart is crazy.

Yeah, Leinart is gonna be a good QB. With the right offense and weapons, he could be one of the best.

Kas- I'm not saying I don't believe you but obviously Marino is gonna act differently at a gold tourney than in the lockerroom. Also, Mort was saying the guy is an idiot, I guess that supports the 16 he got on the Wonderlic. But like other good QBs have proven, the wonderlic doesn't mean anything IMO.
