VY. by a wide margin. Dude just took over games and did things I never thought possible. the 2 consecutive rose bowl games were incredible and both times UT pulled off the upset. Without vince, that would have never happened.

This is like saying Joe Namath or Jay Barker... "Who's Jay Barker"? Exactly.

This is about being objective to both players. Its just hard to not tell accounts of watching Vince Young play.

I watched him live at the 2005 Rose Bowl against Michigan. 5 total TDS by Vince, a little under 400 total yards. It doesnt matter if the offensive game plan was dumbed down, there's no way Colt McCoy does the things Vince did that game to win. Conversely Vince can't do the passing Colt is doing. But Vince had an extra gear that was unmatched. And thats the FORGOTTEN Rose Bowl performance, in itself was something superb any QB in the nation would love to call their signature game. And he topped that in one of the greatest college games ever with one of the greatest single game performances ever.

It takes something close to Tim Tebow accolades to top Vince Young's legacy. Colt needs a Heisman and/or championship to get ahead.

This is a tough question because VY is one of the greatest college QBs of all-time and if I heard correctly McCoy is the winningest QB in college football history. Even if McCoy won the Heisman and a national title, it would hard for me to say he is better than VY. Equal ok. Better no.

IMHO Applewhite also needs to be in the conversation. Applewhite didn't have the supporting cast of VY or McCoy and also was unfairly benched for Mack's son.

VY is the most dominate college player I have ever seen. Colt might be a petter passer but VY was the most dominating QB ever in college football. Those two Rose Bowl games were two of the greatest if not the two greatest games and individual performances I have ever seen.

Chris Simms most efficient QB in Football History according to The Cat. All his interceptions wouldn't have counted if QB rating took into account unearned interceptions ala MLB.

If you put McCoy on that national championship team, UT wouldn't have won.

I don't like how overhyped Young is as an NFL player, but you cannot deny his greatness in college. The dude was a game changer while McCoy, albeit a good quarterback, is not on the same level.

This is a joke. VYs two Rose Bowl performances (michigan & USC) those two games alone put him above whatever Colt has done in his college career so far.
