Chris Johnson falling into Fisher's hands saved his job. That offense is nothing without him. He's a jet engine inside a Datsun.
they need to decide on if he is their qb period. Vince came out with a few good passes down the field yesterday. he throws the interception in the end zone, (bad play, waited too late to throw it) and they immediately go dink and dunk which plays right into the Steelers hands. their linebackers are too good to try to play that game. if vy is your qb, you can't be afraid to throw it down field. this is the nfl, your starting qb has to be able to go more than 10 yards and you can't put the restraints on after one bad play. jeff is a better coach than that
Fisher never wanted VY on the team, never wanted to draft, never wanted to play him, and has been forced to. Any chance Fisher has to yank VY, he will take it. During last years 0-6 start, when the titans were getting killed by the patriots, 0-59, why wasnt VY put in then? Because Bud Adams couldn't make the call during the game. Fisher is a stubborn person and he will never trust vince to lead the titans. I said it all last year, but one of the two will not last past the end of this season. I think VY and CJ are a great combo, and still have faith they can lead the titans to a 10+ win season. Vince played horrible yesterday, but so did the rest of the offense, noone else was benched. The pittsburgh defense is one of the top 2 defenses in the league, Fisher should have let VY finish what he started. For those that didnt watch the game, Collins also had 2 turnovers in the 12 minutes he was in the game. Collins is not the answer, never has been.
agreed, but what else do you do...he looked lost and its hard for a coach to say, fock it and stick with him... everyone has a bad game, no need for the haters to come out...well, its clutchfans, so everyday is hater day...
I don't understand some of the hate for Vince Young. He has a lot of love for H-town. Can someone post his Twitter if he has one?
I don't think people hate Vince Young. Its VY/Titans fans that make it hard to root for him. https://twitter.com/VinceYoung10
It's not so much VY...it's the r****ded and blind fans of his who constantly talked about how great he was
AZ. I have to go through this often in basketball. although, if AZ was having a crappy year and beating AZ would help help preserve UH in the rankings, they I could cheer for the coogs.
Before McNair came into the league, he was a gunslinger. He broke all kinds of records in college. He gained 6000 yards on the ground and through the air in his senior season. Fisher pretty made him into Kerry Collins with lots more talent.
That was in college. Division AA. You honestly can't expect him to come in the NFL and be Peyton Manning. Besides, McNair DID become become an excellent passer under Fisher, throwing over 3,000 yards at 60% for several years.
